Hi Tyra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before modeling, my life revolved around athletics. Growing up, I played volleyball, ran track, participated in school and all-star cheerleading, and even band. Being active and constantly working toward new goals was a huge part of who I was.

When I got to college, everything changed. I developed injuries in both of my ankles, and despite seeing multiple doctors, no one could give me clear answers or help me get back to where I had been physically. After my freshman year, I made the difficult decision to step away from the sports that had shaped so much of my life.

That experience forced me to rediscover who I was outside of athletics. What started as a hobby over a decade ago quickly became a passion. Modeling gave me a new way to challenge myself, tell stories, and express emotion through imagery. It became the creative outlet I didn’t know I needed and ultimately opened doors I never expected.

As my modeling career developed, I earned my degree in Human Development and Family Science while working full-time in the corporate world. For years, I balanced a traditional career with my creative passions, using my free time to build my portfolio, collaborate with other artists, and continue growing creatively.

Eventually, I realized I wanted to combine my love for visual storytelling with something people could wear and connect with. That vision became Golden Muse Label, a clothing brand that transforms my original photography and meaningful concepts into wearable art. Every collection is rooted in emotion, healing, identity, and self-expression. Rather than chasing trends, I want each design to spark conversation and remind people they’re not alone in what they feel.

Today, I’m continuing to grow as both a model and entrepreneur while expanding Golden Muse Label. Whether I’m in front of the camera or creating a new collection, my goal is simple: to create work that makes people feel seen, inspires confidence, and leaves a lasting impact.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has taught me something valuable.

One of the biggest turning points in my life came when I had to step away from athletics because of injuries to both of my ankles. Sports had been such a huge part of my identity growing up, so losing that chapter forced me to rediscover who I was. Looking back, that challenge ultimately led me to modeling and opened doors I never imagined.

Building a creative career has also come with its own obstacles. Modeling and entrepreneurship can be unpredictable, and there have been times when I’ve questioned myself or wondered if I was on the right path. Balancing a full-time career while pursuing creative goals meant a lot of late nights, early mornings, and learning how to stay disciplined even when progress felt slow.

More recently, I experienced an unexpected layoff from my corporate job. At the same time, I was launching Golden Muse Label and working to grow my modeling career. It would have been easy to see that as a setback, but I chose to see it as an opportunity to keep building. I found a new job, continued creating, launched new collections, and stayed committed to my long-term vision.

I’ve learned that success rarely follows a straight line. Every challenge has strengthened my resilience, reminded me why I create, and reinforced that growth often comes from the moments that force you to adapt. Those experiences continue to shape not only who I am as a person, but also the stories I tell through my work.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a professional model, creative director, and the founder of Golden Muse Label, a wearable art brand built around original photography and meaningful storytelling. While modeling has been a huge part of my journey for over a decade, I’ve found that I’m just as passionate about creating concepts as I am about bringing them to life in front of the camera.

What I specialize in is creating imagery with emotion. Whether I’m working on an editorial shoot or designing a new collection, my goal is never to create something that’s simply beautiful—it’s to create something that makes people stop, think, and feel. Every Golden Muse Label collection begins with an original concept, is photographed through my own creative vision, and is transformed into wearable art. I want people to experience my work the same way they’d experience an art gallery. The clothing just happens to be the canvas they get to take home. Each design tells a story rooted in identity, healing, self-expression, or personal growth.

What I’m most proud of is building something that’s completely authentic to me. Rather than separating my modeling career from my business, I’ve combined them into one creative vision. Every campaign, photoshoot, and collection reflects experiences that have shaped who I am, allowing me to connect with people on a deeper level.

I think what sets me apart is that I don’t create for the sake of following trends. I create to start conversations and help people feel seen. If someone can look at one of my images or wear one of my designs and feel understood, inspired, or reminded that they’re not alone, then I’ve accomplished exactly what I set out to do.
