Life & Work with Adalia Powell-Boehne of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adalia Powell-Boehne.

Adalia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got started in music by singing karaoke, then school, and church choir, then my own bands of original music in high school.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The harder part has always been the non-linear path. But I try to embrace it as practice, a way of living, rather than a career path.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is the songs I write and perform with my band KNOTTS. My favorite part is when we feel the fairy dust and fly during a magical set. You never know which one it’ll be, but you know when it happens. I specialize in song writing and music production. I’m most proud of dedicating myself fully to the way of a creative and gutsy life. I believe in myself first and then prove it. Not the other way around. I think that sets me apart.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Most recently, I’ve appreciated the support of new friend and producer, All Made Up. She’s been an awesome support and creative partner. I owe everything to Jacob Boehne, my husband, who listens to every agonizing detail about my work, and supports me endlessly. My band members Jordan Wilson and Isaiah Cook are my longest supporters and friends that add so much to the heart of the music. The Cincinnati creatives of all types that lend their talent to helping me achieve my vision are so appreciated!
