Today we’d like to introduce you to Daron Seals.
Hi Daron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I struggled with my own mental health for years for not trusting people and didn’t have any friends because of depression.I reached a breaking point when I tried to commit suicide at the age of 25, but I didn’t succeed because God wasn’t done with me yet. Three years after the pandemic, that’s when the Men’s Talk Show was birthed. In 2023, I started the Men’s Talk Show which was going to have 4 cohosts but today it is only two cohosts due to changes that needed to be made for the better. Initially, we would present a topic and each give our opinion on it, but then we started bringing guests on the show to give their opinions on different men’s mental health struggles and successes. This is.format of the show as of today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road because in the beginning we were working very hard to grow all of social media handles and at the same time trying to plan out episodes throughout the year. I had to learn to not do everything myself and learn to let my cohosts help me out. I would like to say I have gotten better a letting my cohost Wayne handle two other social media platforms while I handle two myself.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a Men’s Talk Show founder and host. I reach out to different guys on LinkedIn, Tiktok, or Instagram to see if they would like to come on the show. The format of the show is around men’s mental health struggles or success. I bring on different men from around the world to discuss their mental health struggles or successes. I really get to learn about their journey of past mental health struggles and how they either overcome or how they are still coping with their mental health struggles. I am most proud that we have grown a lot over the last four years of doing the talk show. I have made so many new friends since starting the talk show. I want the readers to know that we bring on men guests to inspire, teach other men to take care of their mental health.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was when my mother got back custody of me from living with my aunt for two years.
