Daily Inspiration: Meet Allison Seltzer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Seltzer.

Hi Allison, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started as a hairdresser 27 years ago. I quickly moved from a stylist to salon manager to a salon educator specializing in haircolor. I became an educator to an international color line. I also started microblading eyebrows in 2017.
After 21 years with my salon group, I left to start my own business. It was the best decision I have ever made for my career.
That was 6 years ago.
I love the freedom of having my own space and helping people feel their most beautiful. I’m so grateful I get to do something everyday that I love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For me, the road has been a smooth one.
I’m very lucky that I have a very clear vision of what my clients need. Which fuels my confidence to be really open to what my clients envision for themselves.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a hairdresser, microblade artist and Reiki practitioner. I specialize in haircolor and giving my clients natural and beautifully balanced eyebrows. I’m also into really fun haircuts. Shags and mullets are my jam!
I’m most proud of really helping my clients feel seen and heard. Helping them achieve the look of their dreams.
What sets me apart from others is my ability to be fearless when clients come to me with their ideas.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have so many people to thank for my success. From mangers who took me under their wing and taught me about managing a business and treating employees to field managers who taught me how to be a better educator.
To clients that encouraged me while I was opening my own business.
I would not have the success I now have if it wasn’t for them. I’m truly so grateful.
