Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeana Nutini.
Hi Jeana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised on the westside of Cincinnati, where I grew up as an athlete, a high achiever, and the daughter of parents who were deeply involved in our community through sporting organizations and affiliations. Although my childhood looked “normal” from the outside, my teenage years took a sharp turn when my family life unraveled. My brother struggled with addiction and entered the prison system at 18, and my parents divorced shortly after. That season of instability set the stage for years of stress, survival mode, and my own unhealthy coping mechanisms that followed me into adulthood. I learned early on how to hold everything together on the outside, even when I felt lost or overwhelmed on the inside.
Despite the chaos around me, I continued to excel professionally. I launched my career early, put myself through college, and built a reputation in both corporate and private business environments, but beneath the surface, I was carrying the emotional weight of addiction, grief, and trauma within my family. My brother’s passing from a heroin overdose in 2008 was a devastating turning point. A year later, I became the guardian of his young son, who I raised as my own from early childhood into adulthood. He is now 19 years old, and being his parent has been one of the greatest responsibilities and honors of my life.
Life continued to bring both beauty and hardship. I met my husband, my soulmate, shortly after he had walked through his own recovery journey from alcoholism, and we co-parented our children together, building a blended family that became grounded in honesty and healing. After years of longing for the motherhood experience in its entirety, I became pregnant in 2019, only to lose my father suddenly one month later. My son was born that fall and soon after required open-heart surgery. During his hospitalization, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer, and I became her full-time caregiver until she passed in late 2020.
By that time, I had spent decades in survival mode. I was functioning, performing, giving, and holding everything together while silently collapsing inside. It wasn’t until I found myself drowning emotionally that I reached out for support. I began therapy, crossed paths with a spiritual coach and Reiki master, and committed to a deep, intentional healing journey. As I peeled back layers of childhood trauma, grief, and old patterns, something in me began to awaken. My husband joined his own inner work, and together we continue to transform our relationship, our home, and our lives to create harmony and happiness.
By 2022, I had released the unhealthy coping mechanisms I once leaned on, rebuilt my physical wellness, and found a new sense of clarity and alignment. I returned briefly to my corporate career, but it was there, right in the middle of an ordinary workday, that I experienced an undeniable knowing that I was meant to use my story, my healing, and my gifts to support others. My path was shifting from surviving life to helping others learn how to truly live it.
That moment led me to create my holistic healing practice. Today, through Reiki, intuitive guidance, coaching, meditation, and heart-centered work, I help others reconnect to themselves, reclaim their power, and experience the kind of healing that changed my own life. Every part of my story has prepared me for this purpose, and now, I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges on my path was learning to release the limiting beliefs I had carried for most of my life. I grew up with a very traditional understanding of success, which was built on hustle, exhaustion, achievement, titles, salaries, and external validation. Stepping into the role of a healer required me to completely reprogram my mindset and redefine what success meant to me.
Letting go of the identity I had built in the corporate world, and trusting a calling that felt more aligned with my soul than with society’s expectations, was both liberating and terrifying. I had to face my own fears of not being “enough,” question the stories I’d inherited, and build confidence in my intuitive gifts. The healing industry is heart-led, but the inner work required to truly stand in that role is profound. Learning to trust my path, honor my own energy, and operate from authenticity instead of performance has been one of my greatest challenges.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I run a holistic healing practice that blends energy work, emotional healing, intuitive guidance, and heart-centered coaching. My work is rooted in the belief that true transformation happens when we address both the energetic and emotional layers of our experiences, not just one or the other.
I offer a variety of services including my one-on-one Guiding Light Healing Sessions, sound healing with crystal singing bowls, intuitive tarot reflections, corporate and group healing events, nutrition coaching through my Macros & Mindful Eating program, and heart-led events and gatherings such as my Healing Heart Circles and Sisterhood Soirées. Each offering is designed to help others reconnect with themselves, cultivate self-love, and experience a sense of grounding and clarity.
While I love everything I offer, I am most known for, and most proud of, my Guiding Light Healing Sessions. These sessions blend Reiki, intuitive emotional healing, and holistic coaching into a deeply personalized experience. I created this approach because I learned through my own healing journey that energy healing becomes even more powerful when we look at the emotions, memories, patterns, and beliefs that created the imbalances in the first place. My clients often come to me when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or ready to break old cycles, and these sessions help them understand not just what they’re feeling, but why they’re feeling it, and how to move forward.
What sets my work apart is the emotional depth, insight, and compassion woven into every session. I don’t simply move energy. I help people navigate the stories, wounds, and conditioning behind their blockages so that healing can unfold on a deeper, more sustainable level. This approach is part intuition, part lived experience, and part the result of doing my own inner work. My clients often share that they feel seen, understood, and supported in a way they’ve never experienced before, and that is the greatest honor.
At its core, my work is about helping people come home to themselves. Whether through energy healing, mindful nutrition, sound therapy, intuitive insight, or sacred community spaces, my intention is always the same, and that is to create environments where others feel safe to release, rediscover, and realign with the light within them.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
One of the first books that truly supported my own healing and awakening journey was You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. It was the first resource that helped me understand the mind–body connection in a deep and practical way, and explain how our thoughts, emotions, and stored experiences can shape our physical and energetic well-being. Her work opened the door for me to explore a more compassionate and holistic approach to healing, and those insights continue to influence the way I support my clients today.
