Today we’d like to introduce you to Sulbha Midha.
Sulbha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey in dentistry has been a combination of love, learning, and self-discovery. When I began my career, I knew I wanted to do more than just fix teeth. I wanted to bring healing and comfort to every person who sat on my chair. Over time, I realized that true dental care goes beyond the mouth; it touches the mind, emotions, and spirit. That understanding became the foundation of Healthy Smiles Dental Care, A place where patients feel safe, cared for, and genuinely heard.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been many challenges along the way — moments of uncertainty, growth, and changes. But each step has taught me something invaluable about patience, compassion, and the human spirit. I’ve learned that a smile is not just a reflection of good health; it’s a reflection of inner peace and self-worth.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Along this path, I also found a deeper calling through meditation and inner healing practices. As a longtime student and teacher of meditation, I have witnessed the profound power of peace, silence, and self-awareness. These experiences have shaped not only who I am as a person but also how I connect with my patients. I often share simple tools of mindfulness to help them ease anxiety and find calm. This transforms each patient visit into a moment of stillness and trust.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
To those stepping into this beautiful profession, I would say: lead with your heart. Dentistry is not only about techniques and technology; it’s about the people you serve. Every patient carries a story — and the greatest honor you have is to be part of it.
There will be times of uncertainty and growth, but every challenge will shape you into a stronger and more compassionate clinician. Keep learning, stay curious, and always take care of your own mental and emotional well-being. A calm and centered mind reflects in your hands, your care, and your patient relationships.
