A Dub of Cleveland on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to A Dub. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning A Dub, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Spending time with my 2 kids and my girl friend

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
A Dub is a rap artist from Cleveland, Ohio who’s been making music and performing at concerts since 2005. His music blends hip hop/rap with other genres and influences he has in his life such as reggae, punk rock, trap, edm, classic rock, etc. He just released the first single and visualizer music video for the song “Another Dimension (Lift Off)” off his upcoming new solo full length album “Back to the Boones”, which will be released in Spring 2026.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with my 2 kids

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Losing my father when my daughter was just 1 and he was 61 and my best friend and kids godfather when he was only 39 and my son had just recently turned 2 and my daughter was about to turn 13. Both hit me extremely hard and I use that sadness and pain towards continuing to believe in myself and my music and always remember the good times I had with them.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I will continue to make music and word as hard as possible to make it a full time career where I don’t have to do anything else to make a living.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m out in nature on a walk/hike/jog.
