Megan Furby shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Megan, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Out of these three intelligence, energy, or integrity the most important one to me would be integrity. Being honesty and trustworthy is big for me and when you have a job, are an influencer or just hanging out with friends and family; why wouldn’t you be honest with your customers, fans and loved ones.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi I’m Megan a social media influencer who is being present for my audience and to fill it with laughter, happiness and showing what happens in my life. I enjoy being supportive of others, so I try quite often to share a mentality of you can do it with my audience. Also just being a positive person and showing that I care. I also am big with showing my love for God.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
I learned a lot about work from my parents. With both of there jobs and the times they worked. To where they wouldn’t call off for just anything. How they taught me you are always counted on by someone.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Just be yourself. There are always going to be people out there who dislike you, or criticize you for things you do. Even though it’s hard, push that to the side. You know who you are and don’t like those words or people, let alone society get to you. That goes with how you should look, feel or act. If you stay true to do and just be you, you can do anything.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the real me. There’s no reason to be something I’m not. I want people to like me for me whether that’s my positive side, my confident side, my happy or sad side or my goofy side.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope the story that people tell about me when I’m gone is that I was a genuinely nice person. A person who loved God and cared for others and wanted the best for others.
