Rising Stars: Meet Em Woolf of Lakewood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Em Woolf.

Hi Em, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been organizing for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was the one helping friends clean their rooms, begging my mom to rearrange the living room, and sketching out storage plans for my dad to build—think custom drawer inserts and desks with all the compartments. It was always second nature to me, and something I genuinely enjoyed doing, even just for fun. I used to offer to help friends and family get organized, but no one really took me seriously… until I launched Brass & Bubbles.

Before this, I spent nearly a decade in marketing, working in account services and solving problems for clients every day. Now, I get to use those same skills—communication, project management, and strategic thinking—but apply them in a much more personal way: inside people’s homes. It’s such a rewarding shift. I help people reclaim their spaces, reduce stress, and bring a bit of joy and beauty into their everyday lives. It’s still problem-solving, just with more bins and labels!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting my own business was always a dream—but for a long time, it felt impossible and, honestly, a little irresponsible. I had a full-time job, steady pay, benefits, and security… walking away from all that for $0 a month and no safety net was terrifying. But taking the leap turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

That said, the road hasn’t been perfectly smooth. Building Brass & Bubbles over the past three years has come with its fair share of bumps, doubts, and late-night “what am I doing?” moments. But every time I get to help someone feel a little lighter in their home—and in their life—I’m reminded that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. That keeps me going.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets Brass & Bubbles apart? Well, for starters—our name! It doesn’t scream “home organizing,” and that’s exactly the point. We wanted something fun, memorable, and a little unexpected—just like our process. “Brass” is about doing the deep work: digging in, sorting, purging, and polishing things up (figuratively, of course). And “Bubbles”? That’s the celebration at the end—a fresh start and a space that feels brand new.

I’m proud to say I’ve built strong relationships with my clients, many of whom invite me back again and again. That trust means the world to me. I help take the stress out of spaces that feel overwhelming—garages, closets, kitchens, pantries, you name it. We create systems that are not just pretty, but actually make life easier. Getting organized doesn’t have to be boring or intimidating—and if we can make it feel a little more bubbly along the way, even better!

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’m a small-town girl at heart, now thriving in the city. While my surroundings have changed, the values I grew up with—hard work, authenticity, honesty, and creative problem-solving—remain the foundation of everything I do. These qualities are the heart of my personal brand and what I bring to Brass & Bubbles Home Organizing. I take pride in helping my clients turn overwhelming spaces into beautiful, functional environments that feel fresh and inspiring. Whether it’s about creating order or restoring peace of mind, I’m here to help make life feel a little lighter.
