Today we’d like to introduce you to Alivia Freyn.
Hi Alivia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in the South and moved to Ohio when I was 15. I am now 27, I am a Christian and Jesus has always been an important part of my life, and I’m incredibly close with my family and friends. I’m also a newlywed—married for 7 months now and with my husband for 3 years.
For a long time, I tried to fit into what I thought I was supposed to be focusing on grades, trying sports, and doing what everyone else seemed to be doing. I’ve always been a creative soul, but it took me a while to find the right outlet. I thought it might be painting, but even after years of working at it, drawing never came naturally to me.
Everything changed when I picked up a camera. Photography felt like second nature something that clicked instantly. What I love most about it is that it never stops challenging me; there’s always more to learn, more stories to tell.
But for me, it’s more than just photography. I love connecting with people whether it’s clients or fellow photographers. Since I recently got married myself, I have a deep appreciation for the wedding journey, and I do everything I can to make the experience stress-free and meaningful for my couples.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, I’d say the road has been a smooth one. I’ve been blessed with amazing clients people I truly connect with who leave happy, and that means everything to me.
Of course, like any creative journey, it comes with its ups and downs. One of the biggest challenges has been handling rejection. Not every inquiry turns into a booking, and some months are slower than others. But I’ve learned to shift my focus to what’s right in front of me what is on my plate instead of what’s not. That mindset helps me pour my heart into every project and give my clients the best experience I can.
As you know, we’re big fans of Freynframes. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m a wedding photographer with a passion for capturing love stories. This year, I’ve been intentionally focused on refining my craft with couples and weddings, which is why I haven’t promoted other portrait work as much though I do have a few senior sessions on the books and plan to expand into more services next year!
What sets me apart is how much I genuinely care about every single client. When I was planning my own wedding, I often felt overwhelmed and unsure and I never want my clients to feel that way. I’m here to guide them, support them, and make their big day even more special.
One of the things I’m most proud of is that I’ve never had an unhappy client. That means everything to me. I’m also working on some exciting new things for 2026, and I can’t wait to share more—so stay tuned!
