Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Spaniak.
Hi Hannah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2021, dear friends of ours were struggling in their marriage and I found that at times, when trying to offer advice or resources to help, my words weren’t always well received or they were not well-timed and that would cause a rift between my friend and me. That moment was painful, but in hindsight, I can see it as the beginning of something bigger. God began doing serious heart surgery on me—teaching me what true forgiveness looks like and how to walk it out. At the same time, He ignited a deep desire in my heart to help couples in a more intentional way.
Shortly after that experience, my church hosted a marriage seminar presented by XO Marriage. I was captivated. I started looking into that ministry and the resources they offered were off the charts. But at the time, I didn’t realize that God was only planting a seed. Yes, I had 20 years of ministry experience and a heart for helping couples, but while I had plenty of knowledge and experience, I realized I needed formal training to truly make an impact.
Fast forward to the summer of 2023. I found myself supporting, counseling and praying for my best friend, as she navigated challenges in her marriage. At the same time, I started looking into Marriage Mediation. Another friend, who was a certified mediator, shared her experiences with me, sparking my curiosity. I started researching the field, but I didn’t feel a complete peace about moving forward—so I waited.
Then came January 2024. As I prayed about the new year, asking God for His direction, He gave me the banner word TRUST and led me to Isaiah 55:3-5:
“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David… You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious.”
At the time, I didn’t fully understand it, but I knew God was up to something. Then, clear as day, He told me: “You’re going to become a Certified Marriage Mediator.” I was floored. I’d never received such clear direction or instruction about what I was called to do. I started researching the Marriage Mediation program again, but when I saw the cost, I hesitated. It was more than I thought we could afford, and I wasn’t sure how we could swing it. I talked to my husband, Dave, and without hesitation, he said, “Yes! You should do it!”
Still, I wasn’t convinced. Then, a few weeks later, we got our tax return and it was more than enough to cover the cost of mediation training. The Holy Spirit gently whispered, “I am your provider. Do I not always take care of you, daughter?”
I knew instantly that God had provided the exact amount I needed. But did I sign up that day? No. I hesitated again. Thankfully, my amazing husband and my incredible friends kept encouraging me to move forward.
I was surrounded by incredible cheerleaders who believed in me from the start. The moment I shared my plans for training, I was met with unwavering encouragement—reminders that I was made for this. It wasn’t just words; one friend shared her materials, walked me through her own experience, and helped me understand what to expect. Another continually spoke truth into my heart and even went a step further, writing me a beautiful note along with a financial gift to support my ministry. That generosity helped provide books for couples and set up my office. Their belief in me was the final push I needed. I will never be able to thank these women enough. They were my God-given signs when I didn’t even ask for one.
When I finally arrived at training at the XO Institute in Southlake, TX, I was blown away. The program was comprehensive and deeply impactful, equipping me with the tools to guide couples through mediation with clarity and confidence. I learned powerful techniques to navigate conflict, restore communication, and help couples break unhealthy cycles. The training didn’t just prepare me—it affirmed that this is exactly what God has called me to do.
Looking back, I see why my dream was deferred from 2021 to 2024. I wasn’t just waiting—I was being prepared. God’s timing is always perfect.
At first, I never imagined this becoming a business. I just wanted to help people. But now, I see that God’s plans are always bigger than ours. He’s opening doors I never expected—allowing me to support my family while doing something I love and am called to do. I launched my business, Victory & Vision Marriage, LLC in November of 2024. My office is located in Maineville, OH. My husband and I prayed a lot about the name for the business. I decided to call it Victory & Vision because that’s what I do. I help couples find victory in their marriage and give them a vision to sustain triumph.
God orders our steps and makes our dreams come true when we trust Him and follow His lead, and I’ve seen His hand so clearly in this journey. When we needed a business phone, God provided—Spectrum gave us a free phone and an extra line, which incredibly lowered our bill. When I was looking for an office space, I initially found one with two rooms, but I only needed one. I mentioned it, thinking it would be a deal breaker, but two weeks later, I got a call saying that one of the rooms was now unavailable—leaving just the one I needed at half the price, with a flexible month-to-month lease. Beyond that, God has been opening doors for meaningful connections. I’ve had incredible conversations with pastors about how mediation can support their congregations, and I’ve begun building relationships with counseling professionals to create a network where couples can receive both mediation and counseling support when needed. It’s been amazing to see how God is aligning the right people and opportunities to make this ministry exactly what He intends it to be.
I’ve led breakout sessions at marriage workshops at local churches, facilitated one-day mediations, and witnessed incredible breakthroughs in marriages. I’ve seen intimacy restored, strengths recognized and encouraged, and powerful revelations that break destructive cycles—allowing couples to rebuild a new normal that changes everything. Recently, I took a bold step of faith, giving my notice as a church Administrative Director to step fully into mediation full-time. I can’t wait to see what God does next!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The Lord has certainly paved the way for this to happen, but it hasn’t been a smooth road. Building and developing everything from the ground up has taken a lot of time, effort, money and faith. My husband has been absolutely amazing, but getting the word out about mediation is a big job for just one person. Balancing my full-time day job while working on this ministry has been challenging, but I know the fruit of my labor will be harvested this year. One of the biggest hurdles has been explaining the difference between mediation and counseling—it’s often an uphill battle, but one to which I’m committed.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

I have always been passionate about marriage. My greatest desire is to see every marriage experience victory daily and cultivate a vision to sustain it. I have been married to my husband, Dave, for 20 amazing years, and we have one son.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and 20 years of ministry experience, I have spent the last 15 years researching and studying a wide range of relationship resources. In January 2024, God called me to direct my passion toward Marriage Mediation. I received my certification through the XO Mediator Institute in Southlake, TX—the most unique and effective strategy I have ever seen for helping marriages succeed.
Fueled by a mission to save as many marriages as possible—not just from divorce, but from mediocrity—I founded Victory & Vision Marriage.
