Meet Jillian King of Crown and Harmony Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian King.

Hi Jillian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
While I just opened my own business on the last six months, I knew from a young age that I would end up in the event planning world. I was that kid who was constantly looking for any and every reason to have friends over so that I could plan and throw a party. I have always loved designing, planning and executing events – whether that be a birthday party, bridal shower, baby shower, wedding, you name it.

After college I spent some time working in multiple areas of the wedding planning world. I assisted with a venue, assisted at a planning company and also worked in the office of a full service caterer. Then in the last year, I found myself planning my own wedding and knew that this was where my passion truly was. After designing, planning and executing my own big day I came to realize how much value and need there really is for wedding planners. This was the push I needed and I wound up opening the books for Crown and Harmony just shortly after I said I Do.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Since the business is so new, I would say my biggest struggle has been trying to build my own name and brand. So much of this industry is based on who you know and those personal connections that are made. I am looking for any and all opportunity right now that will allow me to make connections with other vendors, get referrals from clients and just continue to keep my head down and grind while I continue to grow and evolve each day.

Crown & Harmony LLC is a wedding planning company located in Amelia, OH that serves weddings in the Cincinnati area. At Crown & Harmony, I am dedicated to transforming wedding dreams into reality. Through my professional and organized approach, I provide comprehensive planning and day-of coordination services that relieve stress and create a joyous atmosphere for couples. I believe in being a bright light on your marriage journey, offering unwavering support and ensuring that every moment of your special day is memorable and seamless. My mission is to make your celebration a reflection of your unique love story, allowing you to focus on what truly matters—each other.

I believe that every bride and groom should be able to sit back and relax on their big day. Trusting in their vendors will make or break their day and I promise all of my client’s this opportunity. Having recently gone through a wedding myself, I know how important and life changing this day is, so if I can be the person someone leans on and trusts to bring their dream to life, I will gladly accept that challenge.

While I offer day-of management, I also offer custom planning packages and venue searches. I can be involved from the moment you get engaged or I can step in about 60 days from the event. I am able to customize to your needs because I know that everyone has a different level of need.

How do you think about happiness?
I find my biggest sources of happiness from my family and friends. I truly believe in those connections and that you are your best self when surrounded by those who will not only support you, but by those who will continue to push you out of your comfort zone and will continue to help you grow. My family and friends have been so supportive of this journey I am on. They understand that I have to make sacrifices for this job and always encourage me to take the weddings and help cover anything that I may have to miss at home.
