Hi Aimee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Some careers start with a master plan. Mine started with a feeling — a knowing that I was meant for more.
In 2012, while working in the service industry and falling in love with my now-husband, I decided it was time to chase something that truly lit me up. I enrolled in esthetics school with dreams of becoming a makeup artist. But once we began hands-on training with facials, everything changed. I didn’t just want to make people look beautiful — I wanted to help their skin be healthier, naturally. No harsh chemicals, no quick fixes — just real, restorative care.
After graduating, I found a salon that shared my holistic philosophy, and for seven years, I poured my heart into my clients and my craft. When the world paused in 2020, I stepped back too — taking time to care for my aging dog, and just as importantly, myself.
By late 2022, after the loss of my sweet pup and some deep soul-searching, I realized something was missing: the connection and community I had built with my clients. I missed making people feel cared for and seen. I knew it was time — but this time, it had to be on my terms.
I found the perfect space, signed a lease, and brought my vision to life. Flourish Esthetics was born — a place where holistic skincare meets heartfelt connection, and where every client is treated like family. Today, I’m proud to help people embrace their natural beauty and truly flourish — inside and out.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting my business has been a rewarding journey, but not without its challenges. One of the biggest obstacles I’ve encountered is building a clientele in an organic, intentional way. Rather than relying on heavy advertising, I chose to focus on creating authentic relationships within the community, offering personalized care, and letting word-of-mouth be my strongest advocate. While growth has taken time, it has allowed me to build a loyal, trusting client base and stay true to the heart of my business values.

With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, I specialize in customizeable facial treatments that not only enhance skin health but also support overall well-being. I offer a range of services, designed for those who want immediate, radiant results without sacrificing relaxation.
Rooted in a passion for natural beauty and continuing education, I blend traditional and modern techniques, creating treatments that are as therapeutic as they are transformative. My studio’s atmosphere reflects a soft, earthy boho aesthetic, setting the stage for a serene and uplifting experience.
What I’m most proud of is building a space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to flourish in their own skin. It’s not just about beauty—it’s about confidence, self-care, and connection.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is spending summers at my Aunt and Uncle’s cabin by the river. We would go several times each season, and each day was filled with boating, swimming, and the sound of horseshoes clanging in the pits. We’d grill out, laugh, and enjoy the beauty of nature. What stands out the most, though, is the time spent with family—whether we were exploring the river, sitting around the campfire, or simply enjoying each other’s company. It was a time to disconnect from everything else and really connect with the ones I loved, making memories that still bring me peace and happiness.
