Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Chidsey.
Hi Paul, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always had a deep passion for cars, but I honestly did not like working on them mechanically. I figured the next best bet was to just make them look as good as possible. It started out just cleaning cars and my parents driveway. Then I fell in love with paint work so I went to the junkyard and bought a bunch of body panels and I learned how to buff and wet sand on those. Eventually it evolved into friends and family cars and next thing I knew we’re doing full fledge paint corrections, ceramic coatings and details on anything from daily drivers to Ferraris and Maserati‘s. We then evolved into window tint and plan on doing more. My business has been built purely on passion and just out of love for cars!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a very challenging road but also a very rewarding one. Starting the business at 18 years old and being 22 now. The works we put out is top tier but people sometimes have a hard time trusting us with such high end cars or big dollar jobs if they don’t have any previous knowledge of who we are or what we are capable of but once they “take the risk” on us we have yet to have an upset customer, actually they typically are upset they didn’t go with us or do the service sooner. Other then the age struggle everything has been great other than the typically business struggles
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Precision detailing LLC?
My company is called Precision Detailing LLC, we are located in Valley city Ohio. We are an auto detailing company that specializes in paint correction and ceramic coatings! The thing that sets us apart the most is our dedication to perfection. We simply will not let the job go back until it is done right and is to perfection. One other thing is the amount of time we take with our customers. We care so much more about the relationship that we build than the amount that they pay. We would rather have happy customers than consistent profit any day. I would say what I am most proud of regarding the brand is just being as young as I am and the reputation we have built. When I hear people say they’ve heard of the company before it kind of shocks me in all honesty. Another thing would be doing cars off of the Jay Leno show and being able to put my brand on those types of cars! If there is one thing I want any reader to know about my brand is that their satisfaction is number one and they’ll always be put first. It doesn’t matter the circumstances our customers will always leave with a smile.
