Hi Loaai, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Loaai Omar — a visual storyteller with roots in Cairo and a creative journey that brought me to the U.S. in 2017. With a bachelor degree in Mass Communication in 2012 and a Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University in 2021, I blend strategy with artistry in everything I create. With 8 years of experience in photography and 5 years in graphic design, I specialize in capturing real moments and crafting bold visual identities — from weddings and portraits to branding and social media content. Now a proud U.S. citizen, I bring together diverse cultural influences to deliver creative work that’s personal, professional, and unforgettable.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It wasn’t a smooth road, but at the same time, I wouldn’t call it struggles, I’d say I had some challenges since I arrived in the U.S I started learning photography along with Design, my first challenge was learning English as it’s not my first language, Secondly, how to find my kind of photography that I like. And I found that working with people as a portrait & event photographer is my passion, and last but not least is how to find the clients, as much as I was getting blended more with the community, I was building my portfolio and client base.

I’m a portrait and event photographer who loves capturing people’s moments and framing their pictures beautifully. Photographs are some of the most lasting and meaningful keepsakes — even years later, they have the power to bring back feelings and memories from special times. I’m proud not just to take pictures of people, but to be a part of their important moments and contribute to the precious memories they’ll cherish in the future.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me by booking portrait or event sessions to capture their special moments in a natural and meaningful way. I’m also open to collaborating with models, creatives, event planners, and local businesses on projects that align with storytelling and visual impact. Supporting my work can be as simple as following and sharing my photography on social media, recommending me to others, or reaching out with ideas for creative partnerships. Every connection helps me continue doing what I love — preserving memories through powerful, heartfelt images.
