Community Highlights: Meet Tasha Swarts of Soul Garden

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Swarts.

Hi Tasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I had a very tumultuous childhood filled with neglect, physical and verbal abuse. Yet I remember so many wonderful fun and loving moments. Two times in my childhood, at 4 and at 16, I went into some kind of sickness the doctors could not explain or treat. In and out of consciousness accompanied with an extremely high fever. It is said in the native tribes of the americas when a child goes through these sicknesses that is a sign of them as Shaman or those who hold healing in their hands. That is the path that they must walk. When the child reaches maturity, if they have not chosen to do so, they will be reminded, through terminal sickness or a lighting strike. Which I also experienced in 2020. Life then happens…Love, marriage, children, divorce, life changes. In the year 2004. I was deployed to Iraq. At some point I made the realization?…….The awakening? The question? What ever you want to call it, that question, the desire for something more out of life, why am I here (Iraq) Bigger question why is any of this happening?…..That started my inner spiritual journey of self love and purpose. I read any self-help book I could get my hands on. I took online courses I could find. It would be another 7 years before I found Reiki, a form of ancient energy healing. One thing leads to another and found many other energy healing modalities. Through the course of time I came to an ancient shamanic wisdom tradition of energy healing. I felt very drawn to this traditional ancient wisdom way of being. When the student is ready the teacher appears. I signed up but I really wasn’t ready for what was about to happen. This one year commitment to myself to become a shaman taught me how to help others by the ancient wisdom keepers of the shamanic tradition, by learning how to alchemize my shadows, trauma and limiting beliefs into love and compassion for myself and others. When you heal, your true self shines bright and your passions and purpose comes. At this time, is when I was struck by lightning, the message was…..It is time to take your healing medicine serious. I now create sacred space for others to walk into themselves thus walking their spiritual journey. I am a Reiki Master teacher and Master Full mesa carrieing Pampamesayok Shaman. I opened Soul Garden.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No the red road has not been easy for me. A persons spiritual journey will be as easy or as hard as the person believes it to be. “They” call it the dark night of the soul. I’ve had many dark nights and every time we come out of these we gain a new perspective of ourselves and of the world.
I struggled with being worthy enough. My biggest struggle has been, How can I be a healer, healing others when I am not healed myself? You will have to find the answer for yourself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Soul Garden is a multi faceted sacred trade mark. I am a Master Full Mesa Carrying PampaMisayuq Shaman and Master Reiki teacher and practitioner. I offer individual sessions, and also teach both modalities. Thus building a community of like minded people. Both Reiki and PampaMisayuq Shaman require several levels to achieve master. I teach all three degrees of Reiki and two degrees of Shamanship. I offer sacred space for individuals to start their walk, their spiritual journey. I conduct workshops of a multitude things that contain parables of the wisdom keepers way of living in happiness, like Guided journeys. I facilitate various ceremonies for the community to attend. Such as fire ceremonies, dispacho ceremonies, house blessings and cacao ceremonies, Inner child work shops and Art therapy. I have workshops where the group will build their own rattles, drums, staves and shields for their spiritual healing tools. Soul Garden is a sacred space of love and light, a way of Ayni, living in reciprocity and balance, The Beauty Way. When I’m not teaching, the individual sessions include illuminations, soul retrievals, destiny retrievals, past life regressions, divination of the body’s energy, cord cutting and energy extractions. SOUL GARDEN is also plant life. The PampaMisayuq Shaman is an Earth Keeper. I also grow several genre of plants, be it flowers or vegetables/herbs, weeds or house plants. Some are for retail sale and some I make into plant earth medicines. Tinctures, salves and oils are some of what I make and sell. I also teach individuals or in groups how to do such in a workshop setting. How to plant, propagate, grow, give nourishment, harvest and make your medicine. What sets me apart from everyone else? My heart……I am not doing this for huge profits, I love what I do and I want to share it with my community. I am healing myself from a wicked childhood and of 20 years military service. I can help people like me. Those who are ready to heal the inner core limiting beliefs that has caused them so much pain.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
This is actually a great question, but really hard one to answer. I have learned so many lessons on my journey.
I think that self-love is still an on going lesson for all of humanity. Just because the diversity of the makings of the human being. First what does self-love mean to the individual, and how much the individual feels they are worthy of love. It is the second that most people struggle with because there is an incredible paradigm to self love. I’m not talking about an egoric response here, of course we cognitively know that we are worthy. I’m talking about through your heart space. Self love comes in many forms, and doesn’t have to be extravagant self lavishing things or expensive, and then again it can be. Self love could look like you decided you’d rather sit on the porch and watch the sunset by yourself instead of hanging out with friends at the game. The paradigm is maybe hanging out with friends at the game is what you need to do instead of being alone. It’s about what you feel in your heart not what you think you should do or someone else thinks you should do.
