Daily Inspiration: Meet Kia Katella Elliott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kia Katella Elliott.

Hi Kia Katella, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
A few years ago I was dealing with some really serious health issues, stress, and a few not so good diagnosis reports from my doctor.

A very good friend of mine, asked me if I had ever heard of Raindrop Therapy? I had not! She explained the technique, and the benefits, and the next few days I was on her massage table enjoying a Raindrop session.

A few days later, some of the issues I was having, began to lessen. So, I went back every two weeks, and I had some really great results.

I was so pleased, and grateful for how these oils, and this technique had shown some amazing results. I wanted to learn more, and help other people.

I signed up for the class, and began my journey to become a Raindrop Practitioner, and a License Spiritual Healer. I am currently doing Raindrop’s in a shop in Cincinnati Ohio. I would love to do a free consultation with you, or send you a brochure.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This has not been an easy journey, at all! So many obstacles tried to get in my way, financially, mentally, and spiritually.

The week before my test all that could go wrong, went wrong. I had no demo person the day of my exam, so I had to forfeit the test day, and miss out on my certification.

For weeks I was so depressed, and dissapointment, that I just gave up. My Husband was not having that, beccause he knew how much this meant to me.

He gave me a few choice words, in love, and what thus saith the Lord!! A few days later I began calling around to see if I could find another precetor to administer my demo test.

The closest was two hours away in Columbus, so we made a day out of it, and headed to Columbus. My Husband was my demo person, and we passed with the grace of God.

He fell alseep, and snored so loud, I believe it helped my score. That meant I was doing what needed to be done, and the teacher was very pleased. I am so proud of myself, becasue at 47 years old who wants to be testing, and doing exams? Right. But I did it, and I have no regrets!!!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Raindrop therapy is a holistic, healing, life changing experience that helps you get on the road to recovery, and better well being.

The Raindrop Technique is a unique massage and essential oil application method that combines aromatherapy, reflexology, gentle massage, and moist heat to support overall well-being—especially spinal health and immune function. This will help if you are sick, or having respiratory issues.

It’s a holistic practice where specific therapeutic-grade essential oils are dropped (like raindrops) along the spine, then massaged into the skin using gentle techniques.

Oils are dropped from a height of about 6 inches above the back (symbolizing “raindrops”).

Applied to the feet (via Vita Flex technique) and directly along the spine and shoulders.

Inspired by Native American healing practices, the oils are spread using feathering and stroking motions.

Techniques focus on relaxation and energy alignment.

Warm Compress or Hot Towel

Applied to the back to drive oils deeper into the skin and muscles, enhancing absorption.

While scientific evidence is limited, many people report “Raindrop”

*Reduced back pain and muscle tension

*Deep relaxation and stress relief

*Boosted immune function

*Improved mood and mental clarity

*Detoxification and increased energy flow

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I was born, and raised in Cnicninnati, and I raised my family here. There are alot of great things about Cincinnati.

The Smale Riverfront Park and Sawyer Point give you stunning views of the Ohio River.

Perfect for walking, biking, picnicking, or catching sunset vibes.

You can walk or bike across the Roebling Suspension Bridge a little Brooklyn Bridge lookalike.

Bengals (NFL), Reds (MLB), FC Cincinnati (MLS) – people love their teams here.

Tailgating and game-day energy is strong.

Cincinnati Zoo – One of the best in the country

Newport Aquarium, just across the river in Kentucky

Kings Island amusement park is nearby for thrill seekers

I would really like to see more Cincinnati women coming together from all walks of life, and support, clap, and encourage each other more then we do.
