Hi Megan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was immersed in a world of art from an early age sparking a life long love for beauty and design. This led me to study art at the University of Cincinnati DAAP and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, where I found my true passion creating makeup looks for theater productions. My journey took a pivotal turn when I became a manager at MAC Cosmetics, where I had the privilege of working alongside some of the best artists in the industry and finding that my artistic passion could be combined with business and leadership. With a deep passion for beauty and business, I’ve built a company that celebrates artistry, personal connection, and unique beauty.
Early in my career I had realization that I could use my unique set of skills to create something special—something that combined my love for artistry, my expertise in leadership, and my desire to help others feel confident in their own skin. For me, weddings represent one of the most intimate and important days in a person’s life. I’ve always felt that makeup should enhance a person’s natural beauty, not mask it. With that in mind, I made it my company’s mission to help brides feel radiant, confident, and most importantly, true to themselves on their special day. I’ve worked with countless brides to craft looks that reflect their personalities —without compromising on comfort or authenticity.
Today, as the owner of Blend Artistry, I’m proud to say that we have one of the best teams in the industry with over a decade in business! My background in fine arts, photography, makeup, and my experience managing a cosmetics brand all come together to create a truly personalized and professional experience for each client. Whether it’s for a wedding, special event, or photo shoot, I’m honored to be a part of making people feel beautiful, and help create an easy and fun experience along the way.
It’s not just about makeup—it’s about empowering others to feel their best, no matter the occasion. And that’s the heart of what we do.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were many challenges that we had to overcome with brand identity, marketing, competitor analysis and customer acquisition. My biggest challenge was understanding how to differentiate and gain customer trust in a highly competitive Bridal market. There are many makeup artists and hair stylists out there, so it took time to establish our brand and customer awareness that stood out. We built a reputation for being trustworthy, professional, and able to deliver the highest-quality work. Building strong relationships with the best planners, photographers and venues in the areas we serve has been instrumental in our growth, allowing us to collaborate on incredible events and expand our network of loyal clients. It wasn’t just about offering makeup and hair services – it was about making brides feel confident that their big day would be stress-free, and that they would look and feel their absolute best.

Additionally, I listen to a variety of podcasts that seamlessly integrate art with business advice, providing invaluable insights on how to approach your craft as a business without sacrificing creativity.
