Conversations with Tiffany Ferrari

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Ferrari

Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My passion for photography began in high school when Polaroids were popular. The rise of disposable 35mm cameras made photography more affordable, and local stores like Walgreens and Walmart developed the prints.

By the early 2000s, digital cameras became the trend, making photography more accessible. Coming from a low-income background, I never considered it as a career, but digital photography changed that. With better cameras, lenses, and lighting gear, my interest grew.

In 2011, as a stay-at-home mom of three, I was often the one with the camera at family events. Friends and family encouraged me to take it seriously, and in August of that year, Exposure Best Photography was born.

After relocating from Louisiana to Cincinnati in 2017, my business thrived. By 2021, I opened my first studio—something I once thought impossible. Coming from poverty, dreaming big seemed foolish, but overcoming challenges has given me confidence. Despite setbacks, with faith and perseverance, I’ve achieved more than I ever imagined, and I’m truly grateful.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
August 2025 marks 14 years of Exposure Best Photography—a journey that has sustained me far longer than I imagined. Being self-taught meant there was no one to validate my skills, but over time, I’ve grown into my own artistry, found my space in the industry, and embraced creative growth despite challenges.

Relocating 1,000 miles, raising three active kids, and establishing myself in a new market has been no easy feat. My oldest now plays college softball at Denison University, my middle child is headed to Carnegie Mellon in Fall 2025, and my youngest is deeply involved in sports. Balancing family and business is demanding, especially for mothers, but I’ve navigated it all—school events, sports, college visits, and everyday life—while keeping my business thriving.

In 2019, I discovered my father had passed, handled all his affairs, and just as I was recovering, the world shut down due to COVID. I thought my business was over, yet I still opened my first studio in 2021. This came with resistance from my spouse, who preferred I take on a more traditional role at home. My desire for professional autonomy led to an irreconcilable rift, and in 2024, I went through a divorce while ensuring my kids reached their milestones and my business remained strong.

My path has been anything but smooth, but I have no complaints. My gifts have made room for me, just as God promised. Every hardship has tempted me to quit, but my passion, belief in myself, and defiance against doubt have always been stronger. I love what I do—helping people see the beauty they didn’t know they had. In a world that often dims our light, I strive to reignite it. Seeing someone’s face light up when they see their own image is the most gratifying feeling, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a self-taught photographer who built my business from the ground up and earned certification from the Professional Photographers of America. I offer a full-service experience, including prints, albums, and digital images, specializing in portraiture, branding, mentoring, and marketing.

My Luxe Experience ensures clients receive premium service with attention to detail in every shot. In an oversaturated market, I’ve found my voice through bold colors, creative compositions, and unique perspectives—often shooting from the ground up to showcase the sky’s vibrant beauty. I avoid fleeting trends, focusing instead on timeless authenticity.

Beyond my artistic style, my high-energy personality helps clients relax, allowing me to capture their natural beauty. By engaging them in conversations about what makes them happy, I eliminate posing anxiety, making sessions fun and effortless. This ability to bring out each client’s unique light sets me apart from the competition.

How do you think about happiness?
My greatest joy is watching my three children grow, reach milestones, and exceed expectations. I’m proud of the individuals they’re becoming and their strong leadership qualities. As a family, we cherish church fellowship and giving back to our community.

I love connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, as well as traveling and experiencing new cuisines. In August 2024, I visited Paris—it was absolutely breathtaking. My ultimate goal is to witness the beauty of God’s creation, with my next adventure set on seeing the Northern Lights. I won’t believe it until I see it!
