Hi CoyyTheBoyy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started off on instagram doing live videos for my followers. Had so many ideas and talented followers! They gave me a spotlight so why not return the favor! So with that I started doing poetry slams, rap showcases, and also showcase other people’s art. Such as paintings, and drawings. Such a great fun time. But then my followers asked me to start doing my poetry. And for them I did that afterwards I started listening to some beats and slowly but surely started making my music out of poems of love, anger, and compassion. Now I make music for a lil bit of everybody so nobody is left out. I really love those around me now. They have added so much value to my life and careers I’m forever grateful
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road at all. I think we all know that (lol) And what makes me so relatable to people is that we all go thru things. We don’t know what the road has ahead of us but as long as we know and trust the most high, you should not fear! Some of the struggles of this journey is finding genuine like minded people! Most just wanna use you to get above you and some just don’t like you because you bring more to the table. But don’t let that affect you. Let it embrace you to always strive to do better and achieve in more life!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Well I’m an artist from Cleveland, Ohio, I go by CoyyTheBoyy! I make music for all! No matter the genre or the sound. I also can act, and model. Some say I should’ve been a comedian, others say I should be in reality tv. But why limit myself when I can do it all! I’m known for my creative styles and colors of hair that I used to do a long time ago when I had hair (lol). I set trends that people duplicate or at least try to. I specialize being me. There can never be another me and that’s why so many people are upset with me because they know they can’t touch this. I say that to say continue to be yourself. I inspire ones around me to never lose themselves in whatever they do because it’s very easy. Always remember where you came from and always remember who was by your side. It makes a difference when you are humble and true. I am also most proud of where I am right now. Just released a full length LP titled “INFRARED” which has something for everyone. I have some features that I consider my family. These people have genuine souls and gracious personalities. I couldn’t thank them enough for what they have done. And to my VIBESTEPPAZ, THANK YOU! We boarding the Red Flight sometime soon in 2025. I know what separates me from others is definitely my personality, my mind, and my creativity. There’s a lot of people who are lost within themselves. It does take time to find yourself but once you do… your confidence will elevate times 1,000! Shoutout to my mom, my dad, Kostakane, Chvsinn, BarbieKittie, Nelle Jae, Nala Namaste, and where would I be without God by my side?!?
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is generosity, love, and HAPPINESS! Without those things we don’t have anything besides anger, hate, and evilness. Who wants to be upset and walk around with stank face all the time I feel like that’s so unattractive and nasty. Nobody wants that. One thing I can say is that my light always shines! Never can be someone with a dim light cause that’s not the way I operate. When you’re around me you’ll be in a better mood, have a better aura, and have a different outlook on life and its situations.
