Check Out Godly Foreign’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Godly Foreign

Hi Godly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story and the passion behind my music:

My journey into music started at a young age around 14 when I started writing but it was really my older brother who first sparked that flame. I was lucky to collaborate with him on my very first song when I was about 10 or 11. That experience ignited a fire within me to pursue music seriously, and since then, Ive been writing. I’ve been on my craft seriously hard starting 2023.

Growing up in Cincinnati, I’ve always felt a deep sense of pride for my city, but I also recognize that it’s often overlooked not only in the music scene but in general. That’s been a big part of my drive, to leave a legendary mark on my city and show the world that Cincinnati is a place where real talent thrives. My mission is to bring visibility to the music scene here and to create a legacy that future generations can be proud of.

I’m passionate about blending my personal influences with the essence of my Cincinnati culture, and I pray and believe my work will reflects the dedication.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Rooted challenges of growing up in Cincinnati and how those challenges have shaped my journey in music and my personal life …

Cincinnati is a city full of stones you have to overcome but it’s also a place where the system can feel overwhelming and hard to escape. The reality is, it’s easy to fall into the trap of the environment you’re surrounded by. Whether it’s limited resources, a lack of support, or the pressures that come with being in a city where opportunities can seem scarce, it’s a daily battle to rise above it all.

For me, that struggle started at a young age. I lost my first friend at the age 14, so you know that can shape or break a kid. I mentioned my brother was a big influence, I looked up to him ( still do ), he helped me navigate the rougher parts of the city while also showing me that music could be an outlet for something greater. Even when it seemed like life was pushing me toward something different, music was peaceful. It’s become a tool for self-expression, resilience, and most importantly, a way to carve out my own path and make sure Cincinnati is represented in a way that reflects its true potential.

I believe the challenges that comes with growing up here makes this city so unique. The fight to overcome them, to rise above the distractions and hardships, is a big part of what drives me to create personal and authentic music. I want to make sure that my work not only shows the talent this city holds, but also speaks to the heart of what it means to survive and thrive in an environment. People have no hope and they want to see us fail but we much more than that… I’M much more than that ! I’m go map us, WATCH !

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
While I’m often recognized as an Artist, ( particularly within the drill music scene) A flight attendant, nail technician, and just a hustla. With music, I see myself as a much more versatile artist. My music spans a range of styles, blending hard-hitting bars with emotional depth, real-life stories, and raw creativity. I don’t want to be boxed into a single genre or label because my artistry is an expression of who I am, shaped by experiences that are deeply personal and rooted in reality.

The music I create is drawn from the trials and triumphs of real life. My lyrics are a reflection of reality I’ve faced, the emotions I’ve felt, and the lessons I’ve learned. Every song I write is crafted with honesty, because I believe that’s what connects people to my music. I’ve always been someone who pours everything I’ve been through into my art, and I think that’s what makes me different—what makes me rare actually. I’m not just making music to fit a trend; I’m telling my story, and in doing so, I’m telling the stories of others who feel the same.

It’s this authenticity and depth that I believe makes my sound stand out. My music is more than just bars or beats— as mentioned it’s about real experiences, real emotion, and a commitment to creating something that resonates on a deeper level. I don’t want to be categorized. I want to be known for bringing something truly unique and genuine to the table. I’m just known for being a woman who’s real, rare and loyal. I’ve heard that all my life. I set the bar high but that’s just being me lol.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I pretty much grew up being laidback but also goofy, always the one to lighten the mood in any situation. As a kid, I was mature for my age, and people… whether it’s family, friends, or even people I don’t know have always turned to me for positivity. I’m the kind of person who can brighten up a room in an instant with just my energy. My family always told me I was gifted but it was for me to figure out with gifts was given to me.

I’ve got a big heart, but that’s not something everyone gets to see right away or at all. I can come off unapproachable to an outsider, just being judged based on my resting face, But once they take the time to know me, they always find that I’m the complete opposite—genuine, warm, and someone who’s just here to spread good vibes… I’m a Sagittarius so 95% of me won’t care if they don’t get to see that side or it don’t matter who they think of me lol… The 5% will want them to see. I’ve grown a lot as a being, I’m so proud of myself.
