Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaclyn Owdom
Hi Jaclyn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have always loved clothing and dreamed of having my own boutique. I had been a consigner at DejaVu and when the owner said she was looking to sell I thought this could be the best of both worlds! Its crazy to think it has been 3 years already!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Never a smooth road! Location! Parking! Spreading the word that our store is evolving is never easy! We are a resale shop, so not a need but a want. We love to hear how much our guests love our staff and store!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Since 1982, Deja Vu has been consigning and selling gently loved women’s clothing and accessories. We carefully curate our selection to offer quality brands in great condition for all styles, sizes and budgets, current and vintage. Constructed in 1875, this building continues to be home to some of the most popular businesses in uptown. We have all the brands you love and know from Chico’s, Ann Taylor, Free People, Madewell and Beyond! We pride ourselves on the quality of the styles we have in store.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Our product selection and our customer service!
