Today we’d like to introduce you to Trina Felber.
Hi Trina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey to building Primal Life Organics and becoming a clean health and beauty expert started with one of the most painful moments of my life—a miscarriage. At the time, I was working as a nurse anesthetist, immersed in the healthcare system but unaware of the silent toxins lurking in my everyday life. Like many women, I trusted that the products on store shelves were safe. But when I experienced my miscarriage, I couldn’t help but wonder if something in my environment or my lifestyle had contributed to it.
That heartbreak became a catalyst. I started questioning everything—what I was eating, using on my skin, and exposing myself to daily. As I dove into research, I was horrified to discover that the beauty and personal care products I had trusted for years were filled with hormone disruptors, neurotoxins, and chemicals linked to infertility, cancer, and chronic illnesses. These weren’t just small traces of harmful substances; they were ingredients I had been unknowingly applying to my body every single day.
This realization was a wake-up call. I couldn’t continue exposing myself—or my family—to these toxins. I decided to take matters into my own hands and started making my own products at home. It began with something as simple as a face serum and grew into a full-blown obsession with creating clean alternatives for skincare, dental care, and body care. What started as a personal mission to heal myself turned into a passion to help others.
When I became pregnant again, I knew I wanted to create a toxin-free environment for my baby, so I threw myself deeper into clean living. And this time, I had a healthy pregnancy and a beautiful baby girl. That moment reinforced my belief in the power of clean products and the connection between what we put on our bodies and our overall health.
From there, Primal Life Organics was born. I combined my background in nursing and science with my passion for clean living to create a brand that could help others detox their lives and transform their health. I wanted to empower people—especially women—to take control of what they’re putting on their skin, in their mouths, and in their homes. Over time, the brand grew, and I began to focus not just on products but on education. I wanted to teach people about the dangers of hormone disruptors, synthetic chemicals, and how these invisible toxins can rob them of their health and vitality.
Building Primal Life Organics has been a deeply personal journey, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. Seeing women—and men—find relief from chronic conditions, clear their skin, feel more vibrant, and regain their confidence fuels my mission every day. I’ve also grown my personal brand, Trina Felber, to expand my message beyond products to include coaching, workshops, and programs that teach people how to make their own skincare and embrace clean beauty from the inside out.
Through it all, my mission has stayed the same: to empower people to take control of their health and beauty, to educate them about the dangers of conventional products, and to show them how simple and effective clean living can be. What started as a heartbreaking loss turned into a lifelong passion, and I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to turn my pain into purpose.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, and honestly, I don’t think any meaningful journey ever is. Building Primal Life Organics and growing as a clean health and beauty expert came with its fair share of challenges—both personal and professional.
On a personal level, the biggest challenge was navigating my own doubts and fears in the beginning. After my miscarriage, I was deeply shaken. I questioned everything about my environment, my choices, and even my ability to move forward. It wasn’t easy to shift from being a nurse anesthetist—where I was well-established and comfortable—to stepping into entrepreneurship, where I was completely out of my element. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, like I was trying to boil the ocean by tackling the beauty industry’s toxic practices while also building a business and raising a family.
Professionally, one of the hardest parts was education—helping people understand the dangers of the products they’ve trusted for years. When you start talking about things like hormone disruptors, neurotoxins, and synthetic chemicals in skincare, you meet a lot of skepticism. Most people don’t want to believe that the products they’ve used every day could be harmful. It takes patience, persistence, and a lot of heart to educate people and show them that there’s a better, safer way.
Another big struggle was starting a business without a roadmap. When I launched Primal Life Organics, I didn’t have a team, a big budget, or formal training in entrepreneurship. I was learning everything on the fly—formulating products in my kitchen, figuring out packaging, handling orders, and marketing all by myself. There were days I’d stay up all night working, trying to balance being a mom and building a business. Mistakes were inevitable. I’d mess up batches of product, deal with technical glitches on my website, and face logistical nightmares when it came to scaling production.
And let’s not forget the challenges that come with running a business rooted in integrity. I’ve always refused to compromise on ingredients, quality, or ethics. That’s meant saying no to shortcuts, which can be costly and time-consuming. Sourcing the purest ingredients, creating eco-friendly packaging, and maintaining transparency with customers has been a constant challenge—but it’s one I’m proud to have taken on.
One of the toughest moments was when I had to prove myself as a clean beauty advocate in an industry dominated by marketing hype and misinformation. It’s hard to stand out and gain trust when so many brands are using buzzwords like “natural” and “clean” without living up to those promises. I’ve had to fight to earn credibility, and that’s why I’ve made education such a big part of my mission.
There were times I felt like giving up, especially in the early days. But every time I saw someone transform their health, their skin, or their confidence by using truly clean products, it reminded me why I started. Those small victories—the emails, the reviews, the stories of hope and healing—gave me the fuel to keep going.
Now, looking back, I can see that the struggles shaped me. They taught me resilience, creativity, and the power of staying true to your mission. The road hasn’t been smooth, but every bump along the way made the journey that much more meaningful. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade those challenges for anything, because they’ve made me who I am today and have shaped the brands I’ve built.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work has always been deeply rooted in empowering people to take control of their health and beauty through truly clean products and education. As the founder of Primal Life Organics, I built the company from the ground up, formulating every single product myself and specializing in absolute clean beauty—no fillers, no synthetic chemicals, no compromises. While I sold Primal Life Organics in December 2024 and am no longer with the company—and therefore cannot speak to the standards or practices of the company today—I can proudly say that during my time as founder and CEO, the company stood for the highest standards of clean beauty, transparency, and integrity.
I’ve always believed that beauty products should work *with* your body, not against it. My approach to formulating was rooted in my background as a nurse anesthetist and my understanding of how every ingredient impacts not just your skin but your overall health. That commitment to health-first, truly clean beauty became the hallmark of my work, and I’m incredibly proud of the impact it had on thousands of people.
My future focus is to expand the clean beauty movement even further by mentoring individuals and helping other brands formulate their own clean products. Clean beauty is bigger than any one company, and by sharing my expertise, I hope to create a larger ripple effect—empowering even more people to detox their personal care routines and prioritize their health. I’m also passionate about continuing to educate others, showing them how to recognize harmful ingredients and embrace clean beauty as a lifestyle.
I’m most proud of being recognized as a pioneer in the clean beauty industry and having earned the trust of so many people who turned to Primal Life Organics for safe, effective solutions. What sets me apart is my no-BS approach to clean beauty. During my time at Primal Life Organics, I didn’t cut corners, greenwash, or compromise on my standards. Everything I did was rooted in science, integrity, and a commitment to creating products that truly supported health.
That same passion fuels my work today as I focus on amplifying the clean beauty movement. By empowering individuals and brands to embrace toxin-free living, I hope to create a future where health and beauty go hand in hand—and where everyone has access to truly clean, effective solutions.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that true health and beauty start with awareness and self-empowerment. When I experienced my miscarriage, it forced me to take a hard look at the products I was using and the choices I was making every day. It was a wake-up call that taught me the power of being informed and intentional.
I learned that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it. Our skin absorbs the ingredients we apply, and many conventional products are filled with toxins that disrupt our hormones, impact our health, and even accelerate aging. This realization completely changed how I viewed beauty and health—and it became my mission to share this knowledge with others.
Another crucial lesson has been the value of resilience and staying true to your mission, even when the road is bumpy. Building a business, educating people about clean beauty, and challenging an entire industry filled with misinformation and greenwashing hasn’t been easy. There were times I felt like I was swimming upstream, but I learned that if you stay rooted in your values and focus on your “why,” you can overcome any obstacle.
Perhaps the most personal and transformative lesson has been the understanding that every challenge—whether it’s a loss, a failure, or a roadblock—is an opportunity for growth. My miscarriage, as devastating as it was, set me on a path that has helped thousands of people detox their lives and reclaim their health. That experience taught me that even the hardest moments can lead to incredible impact and purpose if you’re willing to learn from them.
Ultimately, I’ve learned that education is empowerment. The more we know about what we’re putting in and on our bodies, the better choices we can make for our health, our families, and our future. That’s a lesson I carry with me every day, and it’s the foundation of everything I do.
