Today we’d like to introduce you to Aja Toro
Hi Aja, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey back in 2017; I consider myself a multi-faceted artist; a creator. I have taken several paths that has led me to finding this niche that keeps my soul on fire while giving me the balance with my home/work life. As a mother, having a child is one of the most exhilarating moments in your life. It’s an unexplainable feeling that deserves to be keepsaked, to be relived, to bring warmth to your heart over and over again for a lifetime. I created ultrasounds for my midwife after having my babies as a gift to display in her exam rooms, and seeing the sweet little faces brought me pure joy. All mamas deserve to feel that memory in the power of art.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Surprisingly, creating this brand has been a smooth process. I have went through several obstacles to get here; several trials and errors. This is what I am meant to do with my talent and I can see that with every opportunity that has been provided to me and the accomplishments made over the last year.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create one-of-a kind ultrasound art with your images that you can treasure forever, whether you want to commemorate a pregnancy, celebrate a new baby, honor a memory of an angel baby, or even the exciting moments of an embryo forming ! As a mother figure to three of my siblings and with three children of my own, my nurturing nature permeates through my art. Each stroke of the brush embodies the love and tenderness I hold for the lives yet to be born
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Network. Network. Network. I love to meet people chasing their dreams, many of the opportunities that have fallen in to my lap is all by networking and collaborating with other businesses. In Cincinnati, there is a women owned networking group for entrepreneurs; The Growmunity. It was my starting point and continues to be a resource of amazing people willing to support one another in any way for success.
