Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Smith
Hi Alex , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ive been shooting photography since I was very young. For years I would share my landscape photography with local news papers and social media. When my family moved to Ohio I started to take photography more serious. Pushing myself to learn more about editing, lighting and thencamera functions in general. I would travel around to various parks and share those photos on social media up to 2020. When the pandemic happen is when I had so many people reach out about taking pictures of families, senior pictures and a few sports. In 2020 is when my photography company became real and with a large following crowd. From there my family bought me a Professional camera and my business just grew by word of mouth and sharing my work across various media pages. Present time I’m now shooting pictures for local sports, for local events like the Lebanon Horse carriage parade in Lebanon Ohio.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting off was not an easy road, between learning the basics of finding my style of photography, editing, and getting my name out there among hundreds of other photographers was my biggest hurtle.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Smith Photography ?
My photography business main focus is sports photography, senior photography, family, events and Landscape photography. Being in an area surrounded by photographers I knew I had to had to offer unique packages that made me stand out from other photographers. I really push my business for events, sports, wedding and Landscape photography and offering drone photography to top it off. With my company I give back to the community from each paycheck to help make a difference in someone else’s life.
How do you define success?
I see success as having that steady customer flow that keeps coming back because of your work. Having customers reach out because of referrals, receiving emails asking for my presents to take pictures at an event or sports. Seeing my photography pictures hanging up in various business.
