Meet Natasha Kardos of Acorn Alley, Kent Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Kardos

Hi Natasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved making jewelry and crafting since i was a little kid. While i was working at Hippie Fox Rocks (another local shop in Acorn Alley) i rediscovered my love of jewelry making and started selling my earrings and hair accessories there in 2022. In January of 2023 i created Midnight Fairy Jewelry and started vending at local markets. In April of 2024 i started hosting my own spiritual fairs and makers markets which helped lead me to opening my own shop in acorn alley.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been some financial struggles, i decided to and opened the shop within one month. i opened it with very little money and had to be very thrifty with display and getting everything all ready. The location being acorn alley, traffic is extremely weather dependent so if it rains it can be a very poor day sales wise.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My jewelry is handmade. I specialize in beaded necklaces and soft soldered crystal jewelry as well. The ethereal chokers are my favorite to make. I love coming up with new one of one original pieces for the ethereal chokers and i do take custom requests for them as well. When people think of Midnight Fairy Jewelry they definitely think of the ethereal chokers.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
my favorite childhood memory is crafting with my grandmothers
