Today we’d like to introduce you to Connor Paton
Hi Connor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
You can see shopnoshable.com for a bit of our story.
Connor (I) started Noshable my last year at Miami University, upon graduation I was set to teach english second language abroad in Hua Hin Thailand. I entered Main St Ventures Launch It Cincy Pitch Competition and ended up winning (valued around $28k). Additionally I raised an initial round of capital to take our idea and create a prototype. I brought on my co founders Evan Fix (who spent nearly a decade in software development at Kroger) and Mac Hoeweler (brings finance and cpg experience from P&G). We built and tested our prototype in a few markets across the country. Now we service and partner with property managers/guests all across the US. We also were named to the forbes 30u30 Cincinnati list and Connor was mentioned by cincy inno as being one of 5 to watch for 2025.
For context noshable is a grocery concierge solution that allows guest to order groceries up to a year in advance and arrive to a fully stocked fridge. We currently partner with some of the largest property management softwares in the short term rental industry and our mission is to allow guest to focus more on what matters, allowing them to skip the store and arrive to more everytime they order with us.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a rollercoaster. Fundraising is a process that includes a lot of no’s (especially at such a young age) Connor was 22 when he started the company. We as a company have pivoted several times, and early on at times we went months without paying ourselves.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Noshable is a grocery concierge solution for travelers and guests of short term rentals/second homes. We operate all across the US and provide a standardized experience allowing guests to arrive to fully stocked fridges.
Unlike services like instacart travelers are able to order groceries up to a year in advance and have peace of mind an autonomy over their travel plans.
Noshable’s mission has nothing to do with groceries instead we want everyday people to be able to capitalize on their time while traveling and empower them to spend it in meaninful way; be it with friends, family, or extra time to sight see a new destination.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Love what you do, learn fast, and be a contrarian. Being an entrepreneur takes a lot of faith, a belief in a vision or idea that others may not see as clearly as you do.
