Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg & Heather Wall
Hi Greg & Heather, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Greg and I (Heather) met 21 years ago at Leos Ristorante in Howland Ohio. We bonded over our lifelong service industry stories. We fell almost immediately for each other and ended up getting married on the beach in Jamaica. Our Walltenders story began simply with a dear friend whose daughter was getting married in a barn setting and they needed a bartender. Greg and I stepped in, did all the planning and served their guests for the evening. We had such a good time and loved every minute of interacting with the guests plus spending quality time with each other. Then, after weeks of research and discussions, Walltenders was born into the Event Bartending world.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
After establishing Walltenders LLC and putting all of our necessary paperwork, insurances and inventory into play in 2020, Covid hit. It was a scary time for everyone. Even though it was a very difficult time to start a new venture, we never gave up.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Greg and I believe in personal attention. When we take on a event, our couples become part of our family. We reach out to see how you are doing, answer all questions (non bar related too) and just strive to be helpful. Weddings are joyous but can also be extremely stressful. We follow them through the journey to be supportive and just make things a little easier.
At our events we are not just bartenders. We create a experience. I believe that like your venue and your centerpieces, your bar should be just as beautiful. We decorate to match your colors and flowers. We design your bar menus. We offer a love inspired coffee bar. Greg makes all our simple syrups and sour mixes from scratch so that your signature drinks are amazingly fresh and unique. Our service is all-inclusive with the exception of the coffee bar.
We put a little extra in everything we create. Kindness and compassion cost nothing in this world, we truly love what we are blessed to do.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I follow a lot of different sites that specialize in weddings to get new drink recipes, ideas for decor, what the colors of the season are, etc. We are always learning new things to make your event a little more special.
