Today we’d like to introduce you to Ava-Marie Johnson
Hi Ava-Marie , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was raised by my mom and dad, and competed in pageants. My pageant journey took a halt while my mom and dad finalized their divorce and my dad’s heart attack occurred. I started competing again when I turned 13 and was officially a teen. I competed in 4 pageants before I won my first title, 3 before my second, and I won first try my last year (now). My next journey is to the 2025 WV Outstanding Teen next June.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some struggles were having to move, my grandpa passing, my dad having a heart attack, and my parents going through a divorce.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am still a student that attends high school, and takes many college courses.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel like being hardworking and determined set me apart from others.
