Hi Angel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been passionate about making my own skin and hair care to use on myself because I have very sensitive skin and curly hair that needs extra love. After countless hours of research on ingredients that benefit the skin without chemicals, I formulated my own body butters. With the help of my all natural & ethically sourced essential oils, I combined skincare with perfumery and started Heaven Scents by Angel.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m no scientist so experimenting with different formulas and scents has been very tricky and it took many batches to find the perfect ones. It has truly just been trial and error for me and I still plan to continuously better my product. There are many factors that go into my products such as texture, color, scent and I wanted to make sure it’s not too greasy or oily on the skin. Finally, I found the perfect formula that dries down beautifully and leaves the perfect amount of shimmer.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I formulate skincare that combats a variety of issues while still giving you that perfume-like scent followed by a gorgeous, shimmery finish. I wanted to create a 100% natural and good smelling body butter for the people like me that can’t use many scented products because they irritate my skin. I’m most proud of being able to help people with their skin problems while allowing them to move on from only using unscented lotions. My products have ingredients such as ashwaghandha, maca root, chia seeds, and lion’s mane that do more than just fix dry skin and I think that sets Heaven Scents apart from other body butters.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
My brand is 100% faith based, and I truly give all of my glory to God. I want to give the love that’s been shown to me back into the community and I do that through my products. All of my products are made with love for lovely people, and I let all that I do be done with love always!
