Occular, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2020 , at the height of the pandemic , friends Mai and Dani started chronicling their every day life during the new normal . After creating the instagram page as a place just to post the work Mai was doing , Danielle stepped into a managerial role, focusing on artist development and branding. Occular Odyssey was born , and devoted itself to using its platform to platform other artists . With an emphasis on black artists and artists & brands from low income areas .

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road for O2 has never been smooth or level ground, Every year has come with a list of struggles and lessons , that we have worked hard to overcome. We have lost loved ones , struggled financially , are both current caregivers at home and have survived pregnancies back to back . It’s our greatest privilege to still be able to function as a creative firm through all the adversity.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a creative firm that uses visuals based branding to aid brands , artists and institutions with promotion & brand growth . We specialize in community as one of our mail objectives is to bring community together , which we seek to accomplish via throwing events .

What are your plans for the future?
We plan on furthering the brand’s reach with the goal of setting up other bases for our out of town clientele. We are looking for more opportunities to hit the road and increase our clientele and network. We are looking forward to truly focusing on the O2 Brand, sharpening and expanding our skills.
