Growing up in New Jersey, I spent my teenage years babysitting family and neighbors, which sparked my passion for working with children. In 2006, I started teaching preschool but soon realized the classroom setting wasn’t for me. I took a chance and found my first nanny job on Craigslist, a decision that seemed normal at the time.
I’ll never forget resigning from my teaching position. The director told me, “The grass is not going to be greener; your job will be here if you want it back in a few weeks.” In reality, the grass was much greener. My nanny role took me to Europe and eventually to Dublin, Ohio in 2012.
After continuing my nannying work in Columbus until 2021, I discovered Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency. With nearly 20 years of experience as a nanny and a mom, I wanted to help other families find trustworthy childcare with ease. Starting Twinkle Toes allowed me to merge my passion for childcare with my personal journey, creating a valuable resource for families.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life isn’t always smooth; it’s the way we handle the bumps that truly matters. Embracing challenges and learning to navigate them with resilience can turn obstacles into opportunities for growth. It’s not about avoiding difficulties, but about mastering how we face them.
I had to quickly learn how to balance being a mom, a wife, and a business owner; mastering work/life balance became a crucial skill I needed to develop. Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency is a franchise, we have locations in 7 states, and my location is the first in Ohio! I had to grow an existing brand in a new state and earn the trust of my community.

What are your plans for the future?

Looking further ahead, our dream is to eventually expand Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency to other cities in Ohio. Though this vision is a few years away, we’re excited about the possibilities and remain committed to nurturing our growth in the Columbus area first.
