Check Out Nikki Kinsey’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Kinsey

Hi Nikki, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The esthetic industry began in 2019 for me, I started at Ulta Beauty as a skin therapist , which led me next to working in two different medical spas with excellent experience.
Later my endeavors led me to break off solo onto my own, which was the best thing ever happened to me. focusing on continued education on my own and educating my clients every single day never seems like a job to me. I gladly work six days a week and dedicate my time to enhance client experience by spending more time one on one with them. I spend quality time with my clients.
I have always dealt with skin struggles myself, which has led me to give people the experience I always desired. I’ve almost been solo for a year now and I’ve seen around 260 clients. I’m very proud of how far I’ve come and how many people I have helped! This industry is my life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s usually smooth when I’m doing what I love but like most things there has been bumps in the road.
In the beginning I struggled due to lack of knowledge. Finally, when it came down to it, I realize that what I put into it is what I will get out of it, and I was determined to change peoples lives, help people feel confident in their skin, and make people feel beautiful! I took continued education upon myself and majority of the time instead of scrolling on social media. I am focusing on product knowledge and continued education on things that I offer!
Most of my downtime is spent diving into pieces to make me feel more confident that I can help people.

Another struggle I encountered was working in environments that did not allow me to fully thrive. Working in medical spas really helped me a lot of experience and definitely offered knowledge. But it also allowed me to see both sides of the industry.
Breaking off on my own, I realized much more about different products and focused on offering more holistic Treatments & products, which means I really dive into looking at the body as a whole Rather than almost putting a bandage over the problem.
Now my main focus is to treat the root cause for permanent change.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a licensed esthetician and solo business owner.
I started my own practice wellness with Nikki September 2023, unexpectedly.
I specialize in corrective facials, and offer multiple different treatments with specialized devices. HydraFacials, Glo2Facials, and facial infusions which are all amazing treatments. Another one of my specialties is brow lamination, and tint and lash lift, and tints! Very popular services.
I would say I am most proud of having over 260 clients in my system within a year of being in business. Most of my clients are by word-of-mouth, and a lot of returning monthly clients. I’m proud of how much I love the industry I’m constantly seeking more education to share with my followers!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My family, and fiancé Blake helped me stay strong and supported my decision to go solo in business which has been a huge blessing. I work tons of hours some 12+ hour days and it’s great to have people behind me because they know I love what I do.
