Hi Rehana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After falling in love with the love of my life Hussain Ali, I moved from the Netherlands in Europe to Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I tried out new and different skincare products, all would get my psoriasis and sensitive skin more irritated, red, flaky and damaged. After a frustrated period of trying new skincare products without any success, research led me to the conclusion that more than 1600 ingredients which are banned in EU & Canada are “allowed” in the US. We (my husband and I) decided to make the products ourselves. I signed up for skincare formulation school and the rest is history.

We hold a strong commitment to ingredient transparency because we genuinely care about You and Your well-being. Our products are thoughtfully formulated with your family in mind!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No! First I started out with DIY-recipes. I didn’t felt truthful to my customers (I was selling at local farmers markets ect.) and I did a few different courses, like my skincare formulation course, beauty management course, product launch course, ect. I didn’t know anyone in the US, except my husband. It is hard to find people who share the same values regarding skin mininalism and sustainability, and built a community. I would say that is my hardest struggle so far.

Unfortunately we are living in a society where harmful synthetics and chemicals are “allowed” and where overconsumption is the new trend. This lifestyle comes with consequences.
