Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Paciorek.
Hi Rebecca, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I just turned 54. I have various articles and bios on my website if you want to learn more, but I’ll give it to you. I’ve worked from home since the year 2000 doing magazine ad sales. In 2010, the magazine I worked on in the housing industry closed, and I sold real estate for 3 years. The realtors kept asking me to help them with their marketing, and I decided that was more fun. The hubby and I decided that would be my job if I hit a goal of $2500 monthly within three months. I was right there, and we decided to make it a go. I was doing side gigs for realtors starting in 2009, so this is our 15th anniversary. I am Blue Dot Digital Marketing. I began in the realtor/dental industry as I had friends there. I am now primarily working with authors/coaches/speakers and just opened Authors Allies Roundtable- a monthly author marketing membership.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur is a challenging road. I started because I lost a job and then continued as I homeschooled our son. My type 2 diabetes and asthma create energy issues. I could be better in the afternoons. I have a severe energy/brain crash and burn. I have worked to design my “perfect week” to work with this. But it’s tough sometimes as clients may want to meet in the afternoon, or there may be an event I want to attend. When those things happen, I do what I can to work with clients and have to decide the pros/cons of the event.

I am Blue Dot Digital Marketing/Authors’ Allies. I began in the realtor/dental industry as I had friends there. I am now primarily working with authors/coaches/speakers and just opened Authors Allies Roundtable- a monthly author marketing membership. I’m so excited to finally have my membership rolling, as I have wanted to do it for several years. We have a simple format and structure to help independent authors create their marketing suite over a year while still having time for “a life” and their writing, from setting up and sending emails/social media to getting themselves on podcasts and in the spotlight. Step by step, we do it together.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My tenacity to overcome and make it happen has been tremendous in creating the life and business I love. Has it been easy? No. But being able to pick yourself up when you fall and motivate yourself when you aren’t feeling it that day are the only ways to do this.
