Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Shaw.
Hi Kyle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins on a rickety back porch in a city where most people have never been. I had hit a crossroads in my life. I was unsatisfied with my work and wanted to make a change. I found an acting class near me and decided to take it. I walked in and did my first scene; I was hooked. My passion had only grown daily, and I knew my life would be dedicated to the craft of acting.
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
There isn’t a single actor ever to do this line and not have some bumps in the road. The constant rejection can be very demoralizing if you allow it to be. If you don’t have a way to keep your spirits high through all the no’s, you will never be able to enjoy the coveted yes. I have been tested in different ways, whether it be financial struggles, personal problems, or dealing with the emotions that come with the uncertainty of the future. But I have learned to put God first and embrace everything that comes my way.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an all-around entertainer that specializes in acting. I’m known for my film work and the comedy skits I write and star in on my social media accounts. What I am most proud of is collaborating with so many great people. Money comes and goes, and internet numbers go up and down, but your relationships and bonds with people last a lifetime’s worth of memories. My ruthless ambition separates me; I never take my foot off the gas and never will. I will always win the war of attrition.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
My favorite thing is the supportive people that I’m constantly surrounded by. My most minor favorite thing is people not acknowledging how great it can be and not seeing it what it is/ can be
