Today we’d like to introduce you to Eriq Laron.
Hi Eriq, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For the last 6 years, I’ve been working as a wardrobe curator/ stylist. In 2020, I decided to start my own company, which is Black Angels in Flight. Black Angels in Flight is a collective of many thoughts, but ultimately, it is a tribute to a friend of mine, Kenny Smith. Kenny Smith was a talented upcoming artist from Cleveland, Ohio, who was shot and killed by the police in 2012. So, in awe, Kenny (Kennball) is my BAIF (Black Angel in flight).
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Mountain peaks, to say the least. Highs and lows, but overall, sits been a cool experience.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
For a living I create. Every day I wake up with the mindset to create something new or solve a solution. I am proud of everything I’ve done up to this point; though some things haven’t been acknowledged as much as I may have wanted them to be, I still love the game. That’s the beauty of being an artist, the “growing pains” then the rise above it all.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me is defined by how many people you have help become successful once you got a taste of it.
