Hidden Gems: Meet Khansa Farah of Ladan Desserts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khansa Farah.

Khansa Farah

Hi Khansa, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
It all started as hobby to bake Cakes for my family and friends. As the only girl in my family, my brothers love my desserts, but back in 2020, I got laid off my job, and I didn’t know what to do with my time. Luckily my brother Khaled offered me an online class for Macarons. After 3 months of practice, he encouraged me to start my new baking business which I’m so grateful I did. It will be 3 years this December.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasn’t at all because when you start something new from scratch it always has ups and downs but I’m so glad I have strong support from my family, especially my brothers Khaled and Abdirahman.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Ladan Desserts?
