Andrew Notturniano

Hi Andrew, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated college from The Ohio State University, landed in Delaware, Ohio, where I’ve been ever since. Following graduation, I decided to pivot away from my plans of becoming a medical student at Dartmouth University to focus on cultivating and impacting the very backbone of our country – the small business owner. Let’s face it: running a business is one of the most challenging experiences one can endure. I was inspired by the sheer confidence and grit required of these individuals. I did recognize that powerful force from within myself, but that part of me had been buried deep for a long, long time.

I’ve spent the last ten years uncovering the smothered passion by paying attention and practicing exactly what it takes to run a successful business. Slowly, the flame to accomplish any hurdle standing in the way of a goal was ignited again over time. Finally, I am embarking on my own entrepreneurial journey as a real estate agent and Realtor in Ohio and a strategic partnership with Keller Williams Capital Partners. My client’s best interests are at the forefront of my intention, and I aim to provide a level of excellence in a crowded industry. I aim to add value and utilize the knowledge and the deeply established roots planted throughout the industry to do just that.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to growing a successful business is full of critical moments where one must pivot and continue pushing forward against the chaos. To put it gently, the journey is full of obstacles, often out of the business owners’ control. However, the most valuable tactic I’ve learned is to focus on the challenge at hand, strategize, then implement a plan of action. Equipped with this mentality, I’ve yet to encounter a hurdle that has stopped me from achieving a goal.

When I finally made the decision to earn my Ohio real estate license, it was a matter of planning, execution, consistency, and time before it was a reality. Eighty days, from start to finish, to be exact.

Often, we seek validation from others. When this behavior comes from the entrepreneur, it will sew doubt and, ultimately, add obstacles onto the path forward. Avoid discussing ideas that are out of the range of your audience. God has shown you something. You and you, alone. Trust your gut and act. Find a mentor to help guide your learning curve and overall enhance your trajectory to success! As an individual who is passionate about giving back, I am excited to someday earn the privilege of mentoring a new real estate agent. For now, I’m focusing on not only perfecting my business but more importantly, absorbing every aspect of how it operates.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
The unfortunate reality about the real estate industry right now is that many individuals are making a choice to not have a Realtor involved in their transactions. I welcome every opportunity and hold myself accountable to provide a level of excellence that reflects the value I bring to every real estate transaction. There are dozens of moving parts to each purchase and sale of real estate, and I believe it is in the best interests of all parties to involve a real estate agent. Especially those with integrity who uphold fiduciary duty and aim to provide value to their clients starting day one and well beyond closing.

As some of you may know, I have been involved with The Byron Saunders Foundation Feeding Families on Thanksgiving in Central Ohio for many years. This year, we are set to provide meals to over 25,000 individuals in Franklin County alone. Maintaining connections within my community fuels its growth and magnifies the impact we have on the universe as a collective.

I want the readers to understand that even if they are not actively looking to list their home or purchase a property, there are many opportunities to support their local real estate agent. Real estate is a very interesting and dynamic industry, and with that comes some level of uncertainty. Local Realtors are small-business owners, too! Please refer your real estate agent as much as you can. This can be as simple as a question about buying power in the current market or what the real estate industry is experiencing that week.

Whether it happens to be when you’re out with friends, meeting colleagues for dinner, or spending time with loved ones over the weekend. Help us connect with those who need us most by letting them know you have an excellent real estate agent in mind. Personally, I also happen to be a Realtor held to many additional standards.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Drop your expectation of perfection. Timing is everything in the sense that waiting for the perfect time to start ensures that it will never happen. Act. Immediately adjust. Improve, pivot, grow. Repeat. Implement new strategies and rely on the methods that stand the test of time. Don’t underestimate what you are capable of accomplishing. Dive forward. Enjoy the journey!
