Meet Jason Vinson of Queen City Medical Transport

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Vinson.

Hi Jason, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. 
Only by the Grace of God am I where I am today. I give Him all the Glory because I could be dead or in jail if not for the redeeming power of Christ Jesus. I am one of the owners (with my wife Lauren) of Queen City Medical Transport, a growing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company in Cincinnati, Ohio. We started this business in 2018 out of necessity to help my mother get around to her medical appointments and hemodialysis. In 6 years, we have grown from 1 transport vehicle to 5, and we employ 6 people. We are projecting adding 2 additional vehicles next year and hiring 2 more employees. Our intent initially was to just serve my mother and her retirement community, and that has since grew into us serving the entire Greater Cincinnati Area. We believe that it is God’s will for us to serve one another and that he will bless us if we do. And that has stood true in our business and our personal lives. We are excited about what the future holds. In addition to this, I also work full-time as a Sr. Pharma Sales Rep for Masters Drug Company. I have been employed there for 15 years. One of my proudest accomplishments during my tenure with MDC was my contribution to the Pharmacy Oasis Project at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic. This is a program that helps to bring community-owned pharmacies to underserved communities known as pharmacy deserts. A pharmacy desert is a community that does not have access to a pharmacy. The work we did on this project can potentially be duplicated in cities all across America, with the pilot store being in a community that I have lived in and worship in, Avondale. Avondale is the largest community in Cincinnati, and many of its members lack adequate access to healthcare. This pharmacy is going to be a blessing to over 100k people. Vaccines, health screenings, healthcare knowledge/education, prescription delivery, and more! I am extremely proud to say I was a part of the team to make this happen. Muhammad Ali is my favorite athlete of all time. Not because of his illustrious boxing career but because of what he stood for outside the ring. My favorite quote by him is, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” If we could all adopt that line of reasoning in how we do business how we treat our neighbors and families, I truly believe we can change the world. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has never been smooth. I have made many mistakes in my life, some worse than others. I have even been incarcerated; I lost everything at one point in my life. My career, relationships, home, but God was still Good! I worked tirelessly to rebuild it, and I have rebuilt it well! I was an alcoholic; I have been sober for 11 years. I have overcame grief, depression, and heartache to get here. Those are just my own personal obstacles. In business, there will always obstacles. Working Capital, Staffing issues, scheduling conflicts are all par for the course. But we have a strong team, and we do what we have to do to succeed.

Queen City Medical Transport LLP is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation provider. Our primary goal is to provide exemplary customer service while focusing on patient care and safety. As part of our transportation services, our drivers help clients safely transfer from the pickup point and safely transfer between vehicle and destination points. We specialize in quality door-to-door wheelchair and ambulatory transportation for the elderly, disabled, and people with limited mobility. Non-medical transportation service includes but is not limited to, social gatherings, weddings, business appointments, and grocery shopping.
