Today we’d like to introduce you to Millicent Boni.

Millicent Boni

Hi Millicent, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, I always had a knack for creativity. Whether it was playing design games, or finding my way through design classes, being able to bring my vision to life was something I have always been passionate about. However, being in an immigrant family, it was very hard to adapt and adjust, considering life is a harder on the financial side; that never stopped my little creative mind from continuing to pursue things that I knew would bring me joy and happiness.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, if I’m being quite honest. As a child, I went through a lot of changes and obstacles which have made me who I am now. Whether it was moving from home to home or being in foster care, Life hasn’t always dealt me the easiest hands growing up; with that being said, I never let that stop me or hold me back from reaching my full potential. If anything, it helped me learn how to turn my pain into power and fuel me into the places I know I deserve to be in. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is to never give up.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
For work, I am a Content Creator and a model. I specialize in video-creating different looks, whether it’s makeup, outfits, Hair, Nails, etc. I do it all! I am most known for my dance and makeup videos, which show a lot of my personality and have been a prominent way of self-expression. What I am most proud of about myself is how multi-talented I am in many aspects; not only am I an artist or creative, but I’ve also learned to incorporate business and entrepreneurship. What sets me apart from others is my background as a Ghanaian and that I come from an immigrant family. I have been served many obstacles, yet when you look at me or speak to me, you would never know that someone has endured so much. I guess what would set me apart from others is the light inside of me that will never die.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
A quality and or characteristic that I feel is most important to success first is evolvement, adaptability, determination, and kindness.
