Today we’d like to introduce you to Midwest Prana Flea Market. They and their team shared their story with us below:
The Midwest Prana Flea Market started from a spontaneous thought after I finished on a 5-month Warner bros. Film shooting here in Cincinnati.
Recognizing that there isn’t a strong flea market culture here in Ohio or the Midwest for that matter outside of the pop-up space… we wanted to provide something “permanent” for the community!
As an artist, creator, and entrepreneur originally from Ohio spending my 20s in Los Angeles…I often times felt stuck in my inability to socialize, network, promote myself or my art, or place myself in the right spaces to create opportunities or collaborate with others in a space that wasn’t a club or bar. But I could ALWAYS relay on the local flea markets to be able to do just that. And you’ve never been to a flea market til you’ve gone a west coast flea market!
The north coast carries the same energy and vibrations I felt during my time in L.A. at those flea markets so we created a sacred space in MPFM to harness it all.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Hosting an event/market is a new space for us, so there were a lot of learning curves we needed to maneuver, but I believe we executed with style and grace.
Biggest struggle is getting people to trust in something new really.

We are a multifaceted Design Studio specializing in designing legacy building solutions to any problem.
We do work in graphic design, web design, merchandise/product design, product photography, interior design, exterior design, creative direction, video/film production business administration, and so much more!
The collective experience and knowledge from our team allows us to cover a wide variety of creative endeavors and has allowed our team to work in some top-tier industries such as music, tv/film, and fashion with lower and high-profile individuals.
Our founders have lived and traveled the world, and with that came an even deeper appreciation for cultures, lifestyles, and beliefs which is expressed in their work and the delegation of projects, and the execution of great work from our team!

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I believe we personally learned a few interesting and important things about people, lifestyle, etc.
But as a business, I would say the interesting and important lesson we learned was that it was probably time to become entrepreneurs and start depending on ourselves more.
