Today we’d like to introduce you to Kay Flowerz.
Hi Kay, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Where do I even begin? It is nothing but the grace of God that Got me to where I am today. I dealt with depression and trauma growing up. I didn’t know how I would make it out. I felt like my voice and my life didn’t matter. I would write poetry as a way to express myself. I started writing at the age of 9. I learned how to cope with my pain and develop a resilient mindset. I took responsibility for my healing. I sought out therapy and learned how to affirm myself; I learned the importance of having a relationship with God (or having a spiritual life in general) and having faith that things will get better for me. I love God and have found power in allowing God to show me my worth, purpose and propel me into my destiny.
Today, I am the healed version of myself. I am happily married and have a beautiful babygirl.
I empower women to live their dream life, meaning to live with passion and purpose, knowing that you are loved and that someone in this world needs you. I want people to know that their past does not have to determine their future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. I am an imperfect person living in an imperfect world like the rest of us. Some of the struggles for me along the way we’re dealing with low vibrational environments and people, battles in my mind, and my mental health.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a poet and author of the book “The Psalms of Flowerz: A collection of poems, prayers, and affirmations to help empower women to turn their pain into purpose. I am the host of the “Journey with Flowerz” podcast, where I share affirmations on various topics that have helped me on my journey and to support the personal growth journey of others. I am also a certified life coach, and I help women manifest their dream life through personalized affirmations and aligned action.
I am most proud of myself for not giving up. What sets me apart from others is just like my motto, I bloom where God plants me (or where I am planted).
