Hi Teodora, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The idea for Pure Bambinos was born in the middle of 2020 when the world was going through the Covid Pandemic. I was pregnant with baby #2 at the time and I remember browsing the internet looking for cute baby clothes that would also be gentle on the skin. My first baby suffered with eczema for 3 years, and I wanted to avoid that as much as possible with my next daughter. I asked around, and my friends suggested bamboo fabric. I had only heard of bamboo washcloths at the time. So, I researched more about the benefits of using bamboo for clothing and was amazed by this hidden gem. The sustainability of it is what hooked me in. I had several ideas for designs, so I searched for a manufacturer to make some samples for me and after inspecting the final product, I decided I should bring this to life, and hopefully, more moms get to experience the benefits of the bamboo fabric. Pure in the name of the shop stands for natural, clean, and organic fabric.
Pure Bambinos was launched fall of 2021 and since then we have 1000s of moms loving our products.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all :)! I quickly learned that having a business is never a smooth journey. From choosing the right manufacturer, creating the patterns, knowing what your potential customers will like to social media and marketing, I have had some bumps. Some of the hardest struggles were getting the word out through influencers. As a small shop just starting out it is very challenging to get people to trust and try your brand. The good side of that is though, that once tried I have had hundreds of repeat customers come back and purchase more of our bamboo pajamas and daywear.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Pure Bambinos?
The story of Pure Bambinos was born because of my dream of creating stylish yet comfortable everyday clothes for my 2 little girls. That is how I came up with the idea of our signature romper with in seam (ankle to ankle) zipper instead of snaps. And it doesn’t end there. Pure Bambinos premium clothing is something to absolutely get excited about. The fabulous designs make both kids and parents fall in love with the playful prints and vibrant colors.
I wanted to create a brand that focused on premium quality, function, comfort, and simplicity. Clothing and accessories made with the whole family’s well-being in mind.
I wanted to take this a step further because I am also very passionate about the environment and on a mission to help protect our home; Pure Bambinos is a member of 1% for the planet. This mean we donate a portion of every single sale to different organizations around the world that support various causes to preserve and restore our natural environment.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up loving life. I loved going on adventures, playings sports, and reading books. My favorite adventure books growing up are from the French author Jules Verne. I wanted to travel the world every time I finished one of his books. I also play tennis, swim, ski, and love doing CrossFit.
