

Today we’d like to introduce you to Domenic Bermudez.
Domenic, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up in small town suburbia Pennsylvania, I learned the true value of working smart, hard, and efficient to get where I wanted to be in life. As a teen, I knew I wanted to be my own boss, but I wasn’t sure exactly how I was going to get there. I had a passion for the medical sciences throughout my primary education. I took the “normal” route that most parents of my generation pushed for. I completed 4 years of undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences, then headed to graduate school where I completed my master’s in physician assistant studies. Along the way, I became a father, which added an extra challenge to the mix, but I wouldn’t change anything! Through networking, mentorship, timing, sleepless nights, and diligence, I was able to create my own urgent care clinic / medical spa business along with my real estate investing company.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, to be completely honest, it hasn’t been a smooth road. I could probably write a book! Everyone has challenges, trials, and tribulations that we face every day. When I was finishing my master’s degree, My Wife and I were blessed with having twins. The unfortunate circumstance was that I was 200 miles away at school. I would travel every weekend to help take care of them. At that time, my wife was essentially a single mother since I was away finishing Physician Assistant training trying to better our lives. Being a father was ultimately one of the big reasons I pushed myself to be the best version of myself that I could be. Starting the real estate investing company, MediClinic, and CosMediClinic was no easy task. There was a lot of time, money, blood, sweat, and tears that have been poured in over the past 4 years. Ultimately the goal, like many young entrepreneurs, make the vision a reality and to provide my family a better life. The goal was to not have to worry about finances or struggle. It’s a security that I didn’t necessarily have growing up. I had to work hard for what I wanted in my early teenage years. My parents had enough on their plate with finances, and health scares that they weren’t thinking about saving for a college fund for my sister and I. They were just trying to get us by. I didn’t want “my” family to struggle like I witnessed growing up. I wanted to instill values in my children to always work smart not hard. Everything I have created has been started from the ground up, and I’m proud of that. Thanks to my family, mentors, and God, I can finally say that I am living the life that I envisioned I would be living when I was a young teen dreaming about a goal I wanted to achieve.
We’ve been impressed with MediClinic Urgent Care, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the co-founder of MediClinic and CosMediClinic Medspa. The clinic was founded in 2022. The clinic is more than just an urgent care! We are essentially a one-stop shop for anything related to your health. We offer primary care, urgent care, regenerative medicine, hormone replacement therapy, IV infusion, workers comp, drug screens, and cosmetic services.
My role in the clinic is a hybrid role. I serve as the lead Physician Assistant in clinic and also take on that executive role, overseeing the daily operations, and I help to grow the practice.
I think what separates us from others in the industry is that we are providing other services, most urgent cares, and primary care offices are not as well as looking at the patient from a more holistic approach. Adding our cosmetic services in our medspa has really been huge for our clinic. People are always looking for ways to combat aging, and we have the capability to help those patients seeking that. We can help with botox, fillers, IV hydration infusions, facials, and body contouring, we also provide a customer experience like no one else in our industry.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I believe loyalty, love, and respect are the three pillars that matter most to me. Everyone deserves these qualities. In business, if you have loyalty and respect in your industry, how could you fail? There are multiple ways to show love. If you show love to your clients, family, and friends, they will never leave you. These three qualities are crucial in business because reputation is everything. One wrong misconception or notion about a business owner can severely impact their business. I believe if you can work towards being overall a good person and live up to the above three qualities, you will live a very good life.
