Rising Stars: Meet Brieanna Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brieanna Moore.

Brieanna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Food has always been my biggest passion and source of inspiration. I had a great opportunity while living in Atlanta where my role began as a Food Stylist and Recipe Developer. This role allowed me to work alongside many talented photographers and videographers. My responsibilities quickly grew as I started directing and working with the crew as Recipe Video Producer. As a result of the pandemic, all photo and video production paused, and I moved to Dayton in April 2020. I knew I needed to step behind the camera and continue to create content as a one-woman crew. I started researching and educating myself about food photography which led me to start Feed Creative in September 2020. I knew there was a need to share the stories of local and small businesses in Dayton and beyond.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Moving to a new city in the midst of a pandemic was challenging and owning your own business is a risk. However, Dayton is full of inspiring entrepreneurs, artists, small and large businesses, and makers. This motivated me to take the leap and start my own business.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I wear various hats as Owner of Feed Creative and I love the versatility this role provides – every day is different and exciting. I offer photography, videography, and social media management services to regional and national brands including but not limited to restaurants, coffee shops, bakers, makers, and food brands.

I get the most fulfillment from helping small business owners create content that is professional and sharable on their websites, social media channels, and product packages.

As a creative, it isn’t always cut and dry to accomplish a task. It’s a journey. I excel at diving into the reasoning behind the project and developing an understanding of the client’s business strategy. I am most proud of my own methods of tapping into someone else’s vision and turning it into a reality.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
There’s so much to appreciate about Dayton! Coming from Atlanta, I value the amount of small businesses and artists who make Dayton home and are proud to be part of this community. I appreciate the rich history of the Dayton area and Ohio. After all, Cheez-Its are one of many Dayton inventions and that is a something to be proud of in my book.

I love trying many of the wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and bars in the Dayton area. The multitude of options help create a diverse and progressive restaurant scene.

I can’t go on bragging about Dayton without mentioning the top-notch metroparks, bike trails, rivers, and hiking trails that are in our backyard! As an outdoor enthusiast, I explore the area and take full advantage of the outdoor playground Dayton offers. You can find me kayaking on the rivers and biking the trails in the spring and summer. In the fall and winter, I enjoy hiking. It is wonderful these options are available just minutes from home.
