Small Business of the Day: Conversations with Stefanie Solano of Three + Me Creations

Today’s Small Business of the Day features an interview with Stefanie Solano. Please find our conversation below.

We’re thrilled to have the chance to ask you some fun questions today, but before we get started, can you introduce Three + Me Creations to our readers.
I am a sewist, and with my brand, Three + Me Creations, I create a wide variety of items for babies, children, and adults. What sets my brand apart from others is that I use real artists’ work and incorporate them into my creations. I have had the honor to work with local, national, and world artists, and I really feel it brings a whole new element to my creations that you don’t typically see in sewn items. I think my clients continue to shop with me because they know how much passion and love goes into each of my creations. The items that come out of my shop are guaranteed to be unique and well-crafted.

Can you go more in depth about your process and or what you feel sets your business apart from others. What else should we know?
When thinking about new creations for my shop, there are a few questions that I ask myself. Is this item found anywhere else? Can this item be used in multiple seasons of life? And is this an item I personally would purchase? If I can’t answer these questions about the item, then it probably isn’t going to make it to production. Let’s take a look at my reusable sack line. I offer a couple of variations like the ever-popular Snap Sack and Zip Sack. The Sanp Sack has a food-grade PUL fabric inside liner that is super durable and fully washable. Meaning you can throw the whole thing into your washer and dryer when it needs a deep clean. I have had several reusable bags that need hand washed, and just simply don’t last more than a few uses. On top of being easy to use and durable, the Snap Sack and Zip Sack feature art prints from several artists and ethically sourced fabrics from right here in the USA.

Alright, before we go, let’s do a quick lightning round.
