Meet Davie FP of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Davie FP.

Hi Davie FP, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in music through my father and mother, who were both musically gifted. However, church weekly is where the repetition began. Unlike most, I had no desire to be a musical artist which explains me begging to be released from all 5 choirs my mother made me join.

I ran away from performance based music, and excelled in basketball all the way through college. However, I never loss my passion and ear for music. It was something that was truly apart of my spirit and dna.

In 2005 a friend of mine asked me to assist in his musical journey by writing choruses for his rap songs. Little did I know this was the beginning of destiny wrapping her arms around me and saying “I let you run long enough, now it’s my turn.”

From 2005-2017 I wrote music not only for my friend, but also for myself, in secret. No one knew other than the friend that asked me. Eventually he gave up on music, while I continued filling my notebook with song after song.

In March of 2017 I had my moment of truth at a friend’s wedding in Dubai, UAE. It was at this wedding, God literally pushed me off the ledge, confirmed and exposed my 12yr secret all at the same time. I wrote a song as a wedding gift for my friend and after sharing the song with him prior to the wedding, he insisted I perform it.

That performance single handedly was the official start of my musical artist career. Everything now is just a ripple effect of that moment.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not. I don’t know many journeys that are.

1. Financially, it always comes right down to the wire.

2. Dependability from others is another pothole.
More work and time invested than results would suggests.

3. Empty crowds etc

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an international recording artist, specializing in singing and writing R&B Music.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I also started my music company Freedom Papers Music LLC. As of now I am the lab rat to create the most efficient path for future artists to excel.
