Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Bennett.
Hi Xavier, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Xavier Bennett, I’m a content creator and artist from Lorain, Ohio. I grew up surrounded by music, art, film, and different cultures through my family, which inspired me to start creating at a young age. I explored everything from drawing and photography to filmmaking, violin, writing, and eventually recording my own music by age 12.
Throughout high school and college, I released music, performed throughout Cleveland, worked on film projects, modeled for brands like Nike and Adidas, and became involved with Cleveland media outlets with marketing and content creation.
What helped shape me incredibly was working with major label artist Charles Hamilton who was signed to Interscope & Republic Records. Throughout my 20s, I got to collaborate and work on many projects with Charles. He inspired and motivated me greatly for many years.
Since then, I’ve continued building across music, film, social media, and brand collaborations. Today, I create everything from music and visual projects to viral content and AI-driven videos, while continuing to find new ways to bring my ideas to life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but I never expected it to be. Building a creative lifestyle comes with uncertainty, and I’ve learned to embrace that. I’ve spent years creating music, videos, and different projects, sometimes without the resources, opportunities, or recognition. I just kept creating, improving, and trusting that the work would eventually speak for itself.
There were times when I questioned whether I was on the right path, especially when I saw how unpredictable creative industries and social media could be. I’ve had projects I put everything into that didn’t get the attention I expected, while other ideas unexpectedly reached millions of people.
Those experiences taught me to keep creating, adapting, and learning instead of measuring my success by one project or moment. Looking back, the difficult periods helped me become more versatile and pushed me to explore new forms of creativity. I’m still building, but I’ve learned that sometimes the road that doesn’t go according to plan leads you somewhere you never expected.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a multidisciplinary creator working across content, music, film, marketing, business and AI. I’m probably most known for creating viral concepts that feel unexpected but still grounded in reality. I’ve been fortunate to have my work reach millions of people across different platforms, but I’m most proud of continuing to evolve and never putting myself in one box.
What sets me apart is that I don’t really follow one formula, I create what I want to see and let the work speak for itself.
How do you define success?
Success to me is freedom. The freedom to create, while spending time doing what I love, and building something that lasts beyond me. It’s about turning passion into purpose, understanding money, and building generational wealth without sacrificing the life I actually want to live.
