Today we’d like to introduce you to Hailey Springer.
Hi Hailey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into fitness has been a combination of education, experience, trial and error, and constantly learning how to become better at what I do. I earned my B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, and after graduating, I moved from Maryland to Inglewood, California, where I began my career as a personal trainer at Iconix Fitness.
I quickly realized that personal training was something I genuinely loved. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and help them become stronger, more confident, and more intentional with their training. I also took my own fitness journey to the next level by competing in figure, which gave me an entirely new perspective on structured training, nutrition, discipline, and the process of working toward a specific physique goal.
Those experiences eventually led me to create Springer Fitness, my personal training business focused on helping women build strong, confident, powerful bodies through intentional training and sustainable nutrition. My approach has evolved significantly over the years! I’m much more focused on proper form, progressive training, understanding nutrition and macros, and creating realistic habits rather than promoting quick fixes or extreme approaches.
Now, my significant other’s football career brought us to Cleveland, Ohio, and I’ve expanded Springer Fitness to offer both online coaching and in-person personal training in the Cleveland area. Through online coaching, I work with clients remotely on their training, nutrition, and overall goals, while my in-person clients get hands-on coaching and individualized programming.
I’m really excited about this next chapter of Springer Fitness and building a community of women in Cleveland and beyond who want to get stronger, feel confident in their bodies, and learn how to make fitness a sustainable part of their lifestyle.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but honestly, I think that’s what has made my journey so valuable. A lot of where I am today has come from trial and error, both in my own fitness journey and in building my career. I’ve had to learn what works for me, what doesn’t, and what kind of trainer I actually want to be.
Becoming a figure competitor was a huge learning experience for me. It challenged me physically and mentally and taught me so much about training, nutrition, discipline, and the importance of having a good support system. A lot of what I learned through that experience has carried over into the way I coach my own clients today.
Building Springer Fitness has also come with its own challenges. Moving from Maryland to California and now to Cleveland, Ohio meant starting over and rebuilding my network and client base each time. I’ve had to learn the business side of personal training, put myself out there through social media, create content, market my services, and figure out how to grow both my online and in-person clientele.
There have definitely been moments where I’ve questioned myself or felt like I was starting from scratch, but I’ve learned to trust the process. Fitness has taught me that progress is rarely linear, whether you’re building your body, your career, or a business. You just have to keep showing up, keep learning, and do it anyway.
I’m still growing and figuring things out, but I think that’s part of what makes me passionate about what I do. I can take what I’ve learned through my own experiences and use it to help my clients avoid some of the mistakes I made and feel more confident in their own journeys.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Springer Fitness is a women-focused personal training brand dedicated to helping women build strong, confident, powerful bodies. I specialize in strength training, nutrition, and sustainable habits, with a focus on proper form, intentional training, and making fitness feel empowering, not restrictive. I’m most proud of creating a brand that encourages women to get stronger, feel confident, and become the best version of themselves.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
My long-term vision is to continue growing Springer Fitness into a brand and community that empowers women to prioritize their strength, health, and confidence. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Nutrition, which will allow me to expand my knowledge and better support my clients through both training and nutrition. Ultimately, I would love to open my own private training practice where I can combine my love for fitness and my knowledge of nutrition to create a welcoming space for women to build strength, learn about their health, and have meal plans and prep curated by me.
